We had a storm ( windy and rain ) and going back to the hotel was comfort. The staff are great! We just returned to the hotel since the lights were switched off and you could not go to the top of the tower. The local people were friendly and the tram inspectors were great. Than compensated for the bad weather!
we ate in the Sport Bar on Sunday 24.01.2016. The staff were excellent, very helpful with regard an allergy. They dealt with the problem without fuss or bother which contributed to a very good stay.
Monday unfortunately wasn't as good an experience as we waited 3/4hour for 3 BLT and then the bread was burnt and the bacon undercooked.
Smooth check in, but on arrival at the room (129) we found that the safe was not working. Immediately called for assistance & an engineer came & advised us that he already knew the safe was faulty, quite a lot involved i.e taking the safe out & it would mean moving rooms.
He said he would report it to reception & they would contact us. That was the last we heard & as we were only there for 2 days we were not prepared to lose valuable time waiting around.
Upon checking out again nothing was mentioned & was not asked if we had enjoyed our stay.
This may seem a trivial problem but the things we would normally put in the safe, we had to carry around with us.
Another small problem was at breakfast time we had not pre-booked it but on arrival at the restaurant we had to go through all details of how we were going to pay etc & the receptionist had already taken our credit card details. All we wanted was to sit down & enjoy breakfast. Never experienced that in a hotel before.
Lovely welcome from John and his family . Room was small but had a wonderful sea view ,
The breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very keen to ensure you had what ever you wanted
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it as a place to stay
Easy to find if you have an up to date sat nav, Good location quick run in from the M6, Close to Blackpool but far enough out to be select.
Staff well trained, Chef producing some interesting meals, Breakfast excellent.
Will be advising my travel consultant to add it to her list of hotels she can recommend.

Beautiful apartment. Great decor and excellent location. Only problem was parking as car park is used by random people who are not staying in the apartments and we received no parking permit other than that also the stannah apartment were we stayed had a leaking sink we reported this and nothing was done about it. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.
Home of the iconic Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Rock, Pleasure Beach, the Illuminations, Kiss-me-quick hats, and donkey rides, Blackpool has been a popular holiday destination since the mid-nineteenth century. With its long sandy beach, rollercoasters, and fish and chip shops, it is still very well visited. Known as the gay capital of the North, it is also extremely popular with the LGBT community.
