Excellent Location

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Easy to find. Accessible. Plenty of parking spaces. They even let us bring our bikes inside the room. Although the wifi strength is poor and the signal is weak. Better use your 4g data. Otherwise it was a perfect overnight stay.

Worst Hotel Experience I've Ever Had

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: Nothing. There was NOTHING I liked.
Cons: Customer service, wifi signal, facilities, food quality, cleanliness... Everything.
The room was hotter then the temperature outside, there was no air con and no way of opening the windows further. It was so hot I used a wet towel to lay on on the bed, when I woke up it had DRIED. Went to have a cold shower due to the heat, the shower pressure was so low the water wouldn't come out properly and apparently it didn't have a cold setting. I ordered room service, when the food arrived I saw it had bananas in it (which I can't eat) so I asked for a fresh dessert. They brought up the same dessert but had just pulled the bananas out by hand in the corridor. Disgusting. There were fingerprints all over the inside of the glass. Wifi signal was so low I had a wait several minutes to just check email.

Terrible.

Posted 15-Jul-2016
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Customer service, the wifi signal, the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the room
Location: It's right by an airport, so nothing really.
Wifi wasn't strong enough for me to work from my computer, the hotel staff were rude about the wifi experience especially the manager, the food was terrible, the bathroom was dirty....just overall was really really bad. I travel to alot of hotels for work, I will never be using this one again.

Nice hotel very pretty and comfortable

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Pros: Everything a nice stay
Cons: see above comments
Location: right next to the airport and didn't really leave the hotel, but good location
The hotel is lovely and old in style, however a little rough around the edges. The light fitting was hanging in the bathroom and the light outside the room was broken and not working so in the dark you could not see to open the door, I reported this 3 times and was still not fixed. Staff behind the counter were overall friendly and accommodating however a select few were a little abrupt. Bar staff and food were excellent

Okay hotel

Posted 11-Jul-2016
Nice hotel. Staff were a bit rude (one staff member thought she had hung up the phone and then proceeded to talk about me in the background whilst I was still listening). Room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The rooms get hotter than the sun which made it difficult to sleep. Bathroom was a bit mouldy.

comfortable stay reasonble prices.

Posted 05-Jul-2016
stayed overnight for a conference. After reading a few reviews on here I had started to doubt my choice of hotel. Check in was easy and very pleasnt staff. first impressions nice hotel very relaxing. visited the spa and had the pool and sauna to ourselves. facilities were nice and are included in room price so nothing to grumble at. Had a meal in the bar with a bottle of wine which were both very good. Wine was a bit pricey but arnt all hotels! Beds were comfy. Overall very good value for money.

Good hotel for business purposes

Posted 01-Jul-2016
Pros: Courteous dining room staff.
Cons: bathroom facilities and cleanliness. Our shower screen over the bath leaked badly enough to need 2 towels being place on the floor to prevent a flood
Location: Near the airport and NEC
Hotel is fine for business purposes but not somewhere I would stay for pleasure. One huge problem was finding it as their postcode is wrongly ascribed for sat navs. It takes you to a completely wrong address and although this is mentioned on their website, unless you have looked at the specific directions page, you will not know. We arrived in torrential rain and it took 50 minutes of driving around and a 'in desperation' phone call to finally find the hotel. The entrance is off a very busy one way A road, and if you miss it, there is no way of turning around for several miles to double back. As a result of the difficulties in finding the hotel, we missed out on our really much needed swim, spa and sauna, as they had just closed the pool etc. Very disappointed. We had booked a discounted twin room and were given a pretty basic room overlooking the main road and entrance (rather ironically, considering how difficult it had been to find!). The basin in the bathroom was cracked and not terribly clean, but for the price the room was OK. Nice clean, fresh sheets were welcome. Breakfast was £10 a head and the staff were very courteous in the dining room. However, although breakfast is scheduled to run until 10.00 am, we arrived in the dining room at 9.15, and by 9.35, many of the hot buffet items were being packed up and removed. It was scramble to have what we wanted, and at £10, it was going to be more that toast and cereals!
