Arden hotel

Posted 22-May-2017
A bit dated, but rooms were clean I found the bed too hard, and therefore didn't sleep too well Asked for quickest way to Resorts World and was advised it was about 10 mins. It took nearer 20 and was alongside a busy dual carriage way and then onto the nec site, where the path abruptly stopped and you had to walk on grass We tried another way going back, but ended up having to go through the train station and it taking even longer We stayed at this hotel for an event at the nec. Because of the hassle walking there, and that you only got free parking until 2 in the afternoon, we decided to check out and drive to the nec. Which when part of the reason you stayed at the hotel was to avoid the £12 parking, unfortunately made the hotel not worthwhile.

Close to NEC

Posted 22-May-2017
Great location for visiting Birmingham NEC, just 5 mins down the road. Airport nearby too but this wasn't a problem noise wise. Hotel staff were courteous, rooms (we had 2) clean & comfortable. Didn't use any of the amenities & travelled 10 mins down the road to eat.

A hotel that is slowly being run into the ground!

Posted 21-May-2017
Cons: Clean the da*n hotel!
Lovely staff, filthy and tatty hotel. Restaurant seats all stained, room not cleaned well. Shower head fell on my head while showering, kitchen sink blocked when I arrived. The staff were just lovely, but they are working in the NEC equivalent of Fawlty Towers!

Convenient and comfortable. No frills.

Business stopover. Performed its task perfectly well. Breakfast filling and tasty. Staff helpful and friendly although when my room key didn't allow me into room no apology was offered despite me having to walk down two floors to get key reprogrammed.

Excellent food in the bar & very reasonably priced

Posted 11-May-2017
Pros: the staff were excellent & nothing was too much trouble - the food was fantastic large portions & so reasonably priced
Cons: they need to revamp the rooms that are so shabby
The room however had seen better days and being as they were full we didn't ask for a room change - the furniture was tired to say the least and the mattress was well past it sell by date - the carpet was cream and covered in dirty marks all over - the TV was the only decent thing in the room - and the other room I booked for my colleague was just as bad -

Nice, but rooms dated

Posted 08-May-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Update the rooms and put plugs next to the bed.
Location: Genting Arena and Birmingham International Airport are very nearby
My wife and I stayed here for one night, as we were attending a concert at the Genting Arena. Its is a 15 minute walk to the arena or a £5.00 taxi ride. The check-in was smooth and prompt, which was good. The rooms were nice, but are very dated. The bathroom was the most dated out of them all and definitely requires an upgrade. The bed was nice and comfortable, but my real issue was the fact that there were no plugs next to the bed, which meant I had to use the plugs across the room to charge my phone, which was being used as my alarm clock. The tea and coffee facilities were very basic.

Close to the airport

We needed to at the airport at 4:00 am. The hotel's proximity to the airport was ideal.

Great location, near transport links and the NEC.

Posted 07-May-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast arrangement. Ask clients about parking before they leave reception.
Location: Near NEC and Arenas.
Swift check-in. Walking distance to the Arena. Great facilities, gym and pool. Long queues for breakfast, although all items available. Check-out quick but, parking not mentioned, had to go back to get tickets validated.

Very nice hotel very good facilities.

The only down side to the hotel was the bed was very very soft causing a very uncomfortable night sleep. Apart from that a very nice hotel.

Nice hotel close to genting arena

Posted 05-May-2017
Me and my girlfriend booked this hotel as we was attending a show at the genting arena and the hotel was very clean and the bed in the room was very comfortable and we would definitely book this hotel again. The staff were very friendly and they even gave us a map on how quickly it was to get to the genting arena.
