Ideal for attending Genting Arena. Good value.

Posted 24-Mar-2017
We enjoyed our stay. We walked from the train station & found the areas leading to hotel - particularly garden / leading pavement areas untidy with long standing rubbish. Suggest a good clear up to give better impression22 March 2017, 20:00

Nice hotel close to Genting Arena

Posted 24-Mar-2017
Pros: The location, the parking, friendly staff, nice ambience.
Cons: The very slow service in the restaurant.
Location: Excellent location for Genting Arena, airport, NEC.
This is our third visit to this hotel and we have never been disappointed with the friendly and helpful staff, the condition of the hotel and the room we have been assigned. However, our only disappointment occurred during this trip when we booked an early pre-show a-la-carte dinner and despite a very small number of diners we were unable to order dessert because of the slow service. We were on a tight schedule with a taxi booked. Otherwise, the meal was delicious.

Overnight Stay

Posted 19-Mar-2017
Convenient for the NEC and International but overpriced for the standard of accommodation. It has everything you need but the rooms and areas feel and look in need of some TLC. The highlight was the set menu in the restaurant which was delicious and represented excellent value for money.

Maybe for an NEC visit

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Lots of updates neeed to be done...torn curtains, soiled carpets, ripped chairs in the lounge...etc.
Location: NEC is the only reaso to stay here.
The hotel served its purpose. Thanks to the reports of others I was prepared for a less than perfect stay and a bit of a time warp. Location was the best attribute due attending Crufts at the NEC. Bathroom and plumbing all worked well and was clean. Bedroom had soiled carpet, ripped curtains, and a poor mattress. I used the extra pillows in the closet to sleep on. I would highly recommend finding your way to the NEC during the daylight...the way is not so clear cut as it appears to be on the map they provide.

Great location for NEC

Posted 13-Mar-2017
Pros: We recently went to Crufts, the hotel was a five minute walk away from NEC. Plenty of room for parking. Staff very friendly. Very clean hotel.
Friendly staff, very prompt room service. Hotel was well signed. Great location.

Close to NEC

Posted 13-Mar-2017
It was very expensive for the type of room provided. I would equate it to a Red Roof Inn in the US. Not worth 200 pounds a night. And not nearly as convenient to the NEC as the other hotels.

Quality Deteriorating

Posted 07-Mar-2017
I've stayed there a number of times in the past and always had a good experience. Unfortunatley this time the heating didn't work in the room - the radiator was dripping and clearly had been for some time. In the morning, I found that the shower only dribbled out cold water, which meant I had cold shower. I complained that morning and was assured that it would all be fixed by the time I returned. Upon return , the heating was working but the shower still wasn't. There was nothing that could be done and so I was allocated another room. This room was freezing cold but I was assured that it was due to aircon needing time to warm up. I waited 40 minutes and it got not warmer. I insisted on the manager trying it and he eventually admitted there was a problem and that they needed to find me another (3rd) room. The 3rd room was fine. Staying in a hotel shouldn't be this difficult.

Close to the venue.

Posted 06-Mar-2017
Pros: Closeness to the venue.
Cons: Bathrooms need updating.
Location: Getting arena and resort close by. Close to central rail station and airport.
Comfortable hotel. Clean and in good order. Bar and restaurant areas good with reasonable seating. Comfortable room, but bathroom needs updating. No soap in the bath room or sanitary disposal bags. Close to the venue within 10 minute walk.

ok but dated

Posted 04-Mar-2017
Friendly staff but hotel is dated with a musty smell throughout. Room was clean except carpet which was covered in stains. Price was ok for standard. Would use again but would take slippers to not stand on floor barefoot
