    Very Poor Hotel.

The whole hotel needs a refurbishment. It looks like a prison from outside. Paint is peeling. Carpets are ripped and dirty. Reception area is the only good place. Didn’t have breakfast so don’t know about it.

    5/5 Excellent

The building itself was beautiful and immaculate and was kept intact.

I have stayed here a few tines because of the price point and location. It’s a bit rough around the edges but rooms are clean enough and staff welcoming

Everything from the moment we stepped into reception was terrible - the receptionist was unfriendly, unhelpful and frankly made it clear that she wanted to be there even less than us! We received vague instructions of where our bedroom was and luckily our sense of direction is ok but we could easily have gotten lost. The lift buttons were hanging off so we were skeptical that we would get to the upper floors - but with some persuasion the lift did work. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the building was terrible - paint flaking, stained carpets, broken windows/window frames, discarded rubbish and used towels in hallways - this was all just on our walk to our room! The room itself was dirty. There was damp/mold on the wall. Someone had spilt a warm drink down the wall under the windows but it hadn't been cleaned so the dripping stain was left. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets/duvet cover filthy and stained. We slept on top of the duvet and used jackets as blankets - this would have been ok had the room not been extremely cold due to drafty windows. The wooden frames were peeling and moldy from dampness. The bathroom was the worst I have seen - black mold around the shower, soap scum left in the shower tray from previous occupants and a stained toilet. We chose not to shower the following morning, concerned we would come out of the bathroom dirtier than we entered! Check out lasted all of 5 seconds - as we placed our card down the receptionist walked off!
