Falsely Advertised - DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Posted 12-Oct-2016
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: The receptionists were helpful but are definitely at the mercies of all the annoyed guests
Location: Find another hotel
Firstly none of the rooms I saw matched any of the pictures shown online. I found out only some of the rooms have been renovated and majority look worst than the most basic of hostels. I changed my room as the first looked dirty and dingy. The second was again terrible but also freezing cold as the thermostat was broken. By the third room I had lost hope of the conditions getting any better although the room was quoted as being renovated. As expected I was extremely disappointed and enquired about getting my money back. NO REFUND HAS BEEN GIVEN!!!

Worst hotel ever.

Tiny, dirty room. Filthy bathroom, I couldn't bring myself to shower in there. The whole room smelled like mould. Only one curtain per window which didn't shut the light out. The door didn't lock.

Don't even think about staying there

Posted 06-Oct-2016
Cons: All rooms need an upgrade - furniture & furnishings Spy holes in the doors for improved security Breakfast Repaint dining area brighter colour
Location: Area did not inspire you to venture out after dark. Hopefully the area will be on the receiving end of a regeneration programme in the near future
Receptionist was very pleasant and I booked in ok All the corridor doors banged when they closed making it noisy for other guests "Well the room" The price had been hiked up per night due to the Conservative Conference being held Two single beds pushed together to make a double, mattresses were poor quality, which the inner workings of the mattress being felt every time you moved I had to sleep on my pillows for extra cushioning. Duvet was so thin I had to double it over Basic furniture and no hotel information pack in room including anything about Wi-Fi The bathroom door had a large square of sticky back plastic on either side of the door where there was a hole in it. Although basic toiletries where supplied it would of been nice if you had some where to put them in the shower other than on the floor of the shower or the top of the shower cubicle door as the previous occupant had done as it was still there when l occupied the room In general the room was a bit grubby Breakfast buffet was very disappointing, the selection of food available if you were not going to be eating a hot breakfast. The toaster did not work on one side The scrambled eggs were over cooked and quite solid in the metal container that you served yourself from . No orange juice available Had to ask for napkins as none provided on tables Breakfast dining area was very uninviting The website is miss leading and does not reflect the hotel, I certainly did not have a wonderful night sleep

Paid £80 for a room, didn't even go in

Posted 05-Oct-2016
I tried to ring the hotel on multiple occasions the evening of my reservation to let them know we would be arriving around 11pm after an event - no answer. We arrived and followed the signs to the 'car park' which was basically just a derelict building down a dark side street, propped up by dodgy looking fellas hanging around outside. Safe to say we weren't going to leave the car there, and chose to drive 3 hours home instead. More information about the facilities prior to booking would have been great.....and ideally a hotel will answer their phone.

This hotel is ludicrous.

Posted 30-Sep-2016
Pros: Nothing. It was dungeon. Long corridors, with loose carpet flooring and Hard doors, with full of paint marks and smell
Cons: Everything
Location: No comments. Not worth it at this price.
Very dumb staff. There are no health and safety signs in the hotel. I was given room number 212 without instructions, how to turn lights on. Room could be open with any key or spoon. Bed was covered with quilt, But seems as somebody just used the bed. No side tables. Plugs to run kettle or charge mobile were not working. I went back to reception to complain. Lady, at the reception said, after hearing my complain, I didn't gave you that room. She then gave me room 533, operated with digi card. This room had two single and very narrow beds. When I sat on the bed, its springs were hurting. This room looks recently decorated with full of paint smell and paint spots here and there. It was 11 o clock in the night. I didn't want to go back to complain again. Room did not have Fie escape instruction. I suggest Expedia, never recommend this hotel to any body as I am utterly disappointed with this recommendation. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

Awful hotel, run down and absolutely filthy!

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Dirty and run down and staff were not helpful at all. Bathroom was absolutely discusting the floor was filthy and the whole room didnt look like it had been cleaned at all in months. No shower rail, toilet seat was wobbly and broken. Carpets were filthy and looked to not be hoovered in months! The area is quite dodgey and two women did not feel sale in this hotel at all. Did also not see a single women staying in the hotel and felt very vunerable. Terrible experience and highly dissapointed and shocked!
