Very basic. Hotel needs makeover. Reception staff were not that welcoming, didn't smile and expected better.

    4/5 Good

This hotel was easy to find as it is opposite one of New Street station's exits. Very convenient for shopping and looking around Birmingham. We had a spacious room. Reception a bit haphazard as not always someone around.

    Weekend Trip

The room was booked as treat as a part of a weekend away and was beyond my expectations. I think I was possibly upgraded from the room I'd booked because I ended up in a Suite with a seperate lounge area. It was very stunning. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was huge! The mattress was soft and comfy, though the pillows were a little firm for me personally. All the facilities in the room were well presented and maintained. I think the only real problem was with the hotel in the heart of Birmingham and close to pubs and clubs, it was very loud and busy well after midnight. The window barely stiffled the noise. Some better sound-proofing of the windows would likely resolve this issue. All in all, the experience was lovely, with check in and out a smooth experience. I would recommend the hotel for the location being next to New Street station and very much right in the middle of the city for shopping and such, though people should just keep in mind that it does get a bit noisy in that area at night.

    Overnight stay

Room was absolutely lovely. Clean, spacious, and well presented. Bed was very comfy. Much more than expected! Only down side was the noise from outside during a marathon the following morning was extremely loud, even with the window closed. Not much the hotel could have done with regards to the event, but probably need the windows upgrading.
