The property has a smoking smell and there is a working in the building at morning 6 AM and can't even sleep. They don't even have to use and throw toothbrushes or even mouthwash which is necessary in all the hotels.

There was lack of heating in the room and no heating in the bathroom, I dont think the heating in our room has been switched on for days as the thermostat on the radiator was turned to Zero, other Hotels I have stopped at ensure the room temperature is set before the guest arrive.

Very good value for money. Ticked every box - and especially at the price they charge. Cleanliness, comfortable bed, an excellent bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV, a very good breakfast (hot & cold) but most of all the service level. The staff here are good, however, truly 'above and beyond', in particularly (I hope I've got this right) is Barry? The most obliging, welcoming, helpful member of hotel staff I've encountered in any hotel in 30 years of business travel. This guy is an absolute key asset, and I do hope that the owners not only appreciate/recognise what he brings to their business, but that they look after him accordingly.

It is so outdated it's unbelievable, You can't even stand in the bath, the shower is not hanging on the wall. It's all green, huge amounts of silicone to hold everything together. Not worth anything.

I had a nice stay here about 10 years ago and the photos on the website showed that it had been refurbished since then, so I booked it again for it's location and price as I was going to meet up with friends in the area. First impressions are not great. The entrance is at the side and looks like it may be temporary while there is work going on. The carpets are dirty and paint splattered. But the reception area itself was surprisingly ok. My room was on the first floor and the dirty, paint splattered carpets carried on all the way through in the corridors and in the room. There were positives though - the staff are really friendly; the bed was really comfortable with crisp white clean bedding; the bathroom had fluffy bright white towels and a really powerful shower; plenty of tea and coffee (but very small teacups; I asked for some mugs at reception which they were happy to give me).

I would advise you NOT to stay here
The hotel is run down and looks like a knocking-shop. The third floor where I was is being refurbished and I was sent up through the refurb with plaster on the floor and building materials everywhere. I didn't feel safe. The staff were lack-lustre at best. I put the latch on my door as soon as I got to the room. The toilet hadn;t been cleaned properly when I arrived, and on the second morning, the water just stopped half way through my shower - absolute nightma. It wasn;t that it went cold - the water stopped coming out of the tap. Don;t use this hotel.
