Really good, affordable price for the location that other nearby hotels cannot compete with. The staff members were friendly. The room was small, but it comes with the affordable price, so I did not mind. I definitely will stay here again if the price stays the same.

Great value for money. This was only place I could find in downtown DC that was at all affordable and an actual hotel (rather than some shady co-op apartment building without service). It's clean, centrally located, and quiet, and front desk staff were helpful and courteous. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure. If you're looking for a boutique experience and concierge service, then this is not the hotel for you. But then you need to be willing to pay 3-4 times the price of this hotel as well. If you're looking for a nice place to stay at a good rate, don't hesitate to book this place.

It gave the same vibes as American Horror Story: Hotel. Really really cramped, dark, and you feel trapped stifled. There’s no central air, only in window air conditioners, WiFi is shotty if you’re offered it at all, and on sight staff that actually helps is not present. Please avoid.

You get what you pay for. Hotel was clean, quiet, and felt safe. The bed was comfortable. Furnishings were minimal and dated. TV in room didn't work. Having booked my stay less than 24 hours in advance, I'm thrilled that I found a good place to stay in a good location at a VERY reasonable price.

Simple and affordable stay near the heart of DC.
This is a great hotel for travelers to DC looking for a simple and affordable, yet clean and welcoming place to stay close to the heart of the city. My room was small but comfortable — perfect for a couple or solo traveler like myself who doesn't require a lot of space or "services" other than a clean room and comfortable bed.

I was looking for an affordable place to stay for a few nights. While the District Hotel was affordable and convenient to my office, the staff was not attentive (two employees chatted for 5 minutes while I waited to check in) The room was so small that there was only 2 feet between the bed and the wall going into the restroom and the window unit (AC) was right above the bed and was loud. I don't recommend.

I arrived at the hotel very early (8am and the check-in time is at 4pm) and the concierge readily helped me store my luggage in a room behind the desk. They called me around 2pm to let me know that there was a room available earlier than 4pm. There is an elevator available and also easy to climb stairs. I was on the third floor. The room was very clean. It was small but that's what I was expecting. The bathroom was a good size for such a small room. There was shampoo, soap, a hairdryer, plenty of towels and an extra blanket. The bed was comfortable. The room was very quiet. There aren't many channels on the TV but I was there to tour the city so that wasn't a big deal. There was free coffee, black tea, and water downstairs. The location is about a 40 minute walk to the National Mall. There are bikes and scooters to rent all over town though, and Lyft rides are super easy so the location was perfect. There are cafes within a few minutes walking distance. I would definitely stay again for my next visit.

stay was nice and quiet good air conditioning wish it could've been in the window instead of in the sleeve part of the wooden bed frame because its too close and I bump the back of head trying to sleep and I wish I had small refrigerator in my room. The room was very clean and spot less.
