What a delight! This is the quintessential "mom and pop" bed and breakfast that Vermont is famous for and in a beautiful and serene setting. Mike is an absolute gem of a human being and makes a killer breakfast with the most perfect over easy eggs and french toast I think I've ever had. The room was clean, peaceful and comfortable and I'll definitely be coming back!

It has been a warm and joyful experience staying at Mountain Valley Retreat, the lovely house , during our New Year Skiing vacation. We truly enjoyed the cozy room, delicious breakfast, and delightful conversation with Mike and Barb.

The property and grounds were beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable and the couple who runs it were friendly without being intrusive. Excellent breakfast. If you are gong to Killington or Woodstock and want to avoid the ski lodge atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

A respite in December
Mike and Barb are excellent hosts and aim to please. Bailey (the doggie) was adorable and friendly. The place is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
