The hotel is just next to the metro station and it is within walking distance to many places. The breakfast is good.

Bed was very comfortable. Transport was right outside hotel. Lots of places to eat and drink. The smell in lift and corridors was nauseating, like raw sewage. Thank goodness room didn't smell.

Lovely room…
The room itself was lovely, the service however was not. We felt the guy on the desk didn’t want to speak to us and wasn’t welcoming. Something else to note is that we had a door that didn’t shut properly on first try. This was fine, but when roomservice came to clean the room, they left the door unlocked & slightly ajar. We were out the whole day with certain valuables left in the room which also didn’t make us feel good about our stay.

Housekeeping tried to enter my room once and definitely entered the second time even though I put the do not disturb sign. They knocked once and entered a second later. They didn't announce they are staff. The cleaned my room while I was out for the day, my things could have been stolen. Several staff didn't care much because it happened two days in a row. One seemed to care. Look at the reviews on Google maps. It is not safe and secure here. The good location near metro and bus and the low price is not worth it.

I come at 10 am and just wanted to leave my luggage till check-in, but lady at the reception checked me in, it was very nice ☺️ The only drawback i found is the absence of fridge. Also at check-out, I asked for invoice, but man at the reception told me since I booked at Expedia, so Expedia should give me invoice not property 🤔

Great location for transport but cigarette smell
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I booked a non-smoking room but my room smelled strongly of cigarette. I asked to change room but the staff said it was full and too many people had asked to change their room. So I had to put up with it and buy scented candle. Every day I came back to my room, the cigarette smell was back. I wonder if it circulates through the ventilation from other rooms. Also, the bathroom has a shower with a high step to climb inside which was difficult for me. The room is very dark at night, no lamp on the desk so impossible to work, had to sit in the bed to see something. Lastly, they say that if you leave a card on the door asking not to change the towels you can have a free bottle of water; I did that every day and never got the voucher, I had to complain every night to get the bottle and the staff gave it to me. On the positive side, it's great for transports: bus stop is at the door-step from hotel, U-bahn across the street, also a big supermarket open late 2 min away and burger/kebab with coffee inside the hotel. And some staff were nice. The elevator is fast and the room at the end of corridor very quiet despite being next to the U-bahn trains, I never heard anyone talking. Just the cigarette smell bothered me.

Best part about property is the staff. Waleed was super helpful and friendly. Most inconvenient part was the beds. Very uncomfortable beds and pillows.

Enjoyed my stay at Novum Hotel City B
It was a super stay. I really enjoyed the large space and roomy hotel areas. Very close to public transportation and lively spot in Berlin. I think the room could have used one or two more lights. But it was warm, clean and welcoming.

Great hotel reasonable prices for Xmas break
When I first arrived there was a problem with the water temperature and the shower ran cold, however the hotel tried to rectify the problem but were unable to rectify the issue. On a positive note a receptionist called Vanessa moved me to another room, which was more, spacious and comfortable, and made my stay a pleasure, and a comfort. All hotel staff from cleaners, reception, restaurant, maintenance were extremely polite and respectful, and overall went out of their way to make your stay very welcoming. Thank you to all hotel staff that contributed to making my City Break a very enjoyable experience whilst in Berlin.

I thought it was reasonable for the price until i got 30 euro taken from my credit card which i wasn’t awared of (after i checked out). When i tried to contact the hotel to explain this issue, they didn’t answer. Absolutely unacceptable.

The front desk staff was amazing. The breakfast was also a good value. I do wish there was a toaster though to toast the bread. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but for the value of the room and location I was happy.
