The hotel is comfortable and convenient (I had an executive suite). THe bed was excellent and the breakfast was, too, although awfully expensive (29 Euros). THe hotel is across the street from the Tiertgarten S Bahn, very convenient, but also very noisy - from my room I could hear every train arriving and leaving when my window was open. I ran a White Noise all night and that was fine.

We’ve stayed here twice. It’s right next to the train station, or you can walk through the Tiergarten. The restaurant has yummy cheeseburgers and a wonderful breakfast. Hotel is clean, night, and quiet.

Everything was great. The location is ideal, just across the street from a public transport station, the room was good size, clean and modern. Staff was nice and the breakfast was very good.

GREAT area to stay for the Berlin Marathon. The hotel is along the course so your loved ones can see you run (or skate) by. You can also watch the elites - like Kipchoge - whiz by you as well. -Pros: S Bahn - literally across the street - Tiergarten Room was spacious and clean. Berlin Zoo is close by A park to walk or just sit and people watch Walkable to many shops and eateries Hotel restaurant is really good Cons: You have to walk through a park to get to the shops/eateries and not sure how safe it is at night. Check in is promptly at 3pm. Nothing before.

Very clean, modern and spacious. The hotel staff are extremely professional and friendly, and everything about my 3 night stay was superb. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Excellent location.

The front desk staff was excellent, and the apartment was great for a family of 4, with a cozy little kitchen space and ample space. The pool (part of the reason for our reservation) was closed, so they comped us breakfast the first day. Walkable to a main stip of restaurants and the old town along the river. I would gladly stay there again.

Let us get the negatives out of the way: although the hotel is next to the S-Bahn transit station, there is not much within a 2-minute walking distance. It is in a "boring" city block but at least that makes it a quiet city block. There is no "wow factor" to the room layout, aside from a decent amount of clothes storage space. There are very few power outlets in the room and they are in weird places (e.g. behind the TV and next to the door). More places (hooks/racks) to hang up towels in the bathroom would be nice too. For positives, the staff are very friendly but also professional. Unlike another Novotel, staff are dressed in uniform so you knoe who's working there. While other hotels charge you to store luggage, they give you complimentary beverages at the bar!!! Lobby is grand and inviting, with clean restrooms while you wait for check-in. Again, it's across the street from the Tiergarten S-Bahn station so it is only 10-15 minutes ride from Olympic Stadium in the west or from Mitte (downtown) in the east. There are also sandwiches, snacks and alcoholic beverages in vending machines found on certain floors, for those who have cravings in the middle of the night. So, the lobby is nice 5-stars but more investment at the room level would make this a 5-star hotel.

The hotel is very near the S- Bahn so travelling around is very easy. Your can also walk in 15 Minutes to the Bahnhof Zoo and all the shops. My room was quiet and on the 5 floor. Hotel staff very helpful. It's also possible to rent bicycles. Didn't like the plastic spoons with attached tea which they use instead if tea bags and reusable metal spoons. It's not good for the environment and the tea was not tasty.

Overall great but menu sadly lacking
Overall the hotel is excellent. Efficient, friendly staff and very clean. My only gripe was the menu for food. I only ate one night in the hotel. There was a very small selection of main meals and no option for sides. I ordered chilli con carne which was literally a bowl of chilli - no rice or tacos. Similarly a colleague ordered currywurst which was a chopped up sausage in sauce - no fries.
