The hotel was closed when our party arrived, they were having what looked like planned maintenance - not a surprise issue. We were rebooked into a hotel 20 minutes drive away, meaning we had to incur over €100 of costs commuting between the new hotel and our place of work, which is a short walk from the Mercure. The only reason we booked this hotel was the proximity to our workplace. We should have been given the opportunity to rebook somewhere close by - there are plenty of hotels around the same area as the Mercure which would have been far more suitable.

Having stayed at many Mercure Hotels in the past then I expected something much better than this. I'm sure that the rooms were considered nice around 30 years ago, but clearly they haven't been refurbished since then. The carpets in the corridors were filthy. The only saving grace was the Breakfast Room which was fairly new, and well laid out with a nice ambience. The breakfast itself was good too, as were the staff. Overall though, I was very disappointed and won't be staying there again.

OK for the price and short stay in Berlin.
Hotel was OK. Clean with good breakfast buffet. Location is OK too if you are OK walking 25 min to Checkpoint Charlie and another 5 to 10 min to the Brandenburg Gate. Rooms seems a bit dated, but spacious enough and most importantly clean. Apart from soap/shampoo, no toiletries like tooth paste, shower hats etc. are provided. Travel from the main airport is OK too. Train station just outside the hotel. Technology Museum is only 5 min walk. No shops and caffes in the immediate vicinity. Overall OK for our short 3 nights stay in Berlin.

The hotel was very nice, the location excellent! The breakfast was wonderful with very competent and professional staff. We had been very pleased until the the last day, when our room was not done. No applogy from the receptionist and we had to insist to get fresh towels! All the other staff was very nice, helpful and competent. This hotel is recommendable

Mercure Berlin Mitte
The hotel is very close to the station, check in was quick, room was very nice, bed was comfy and shower was great. The breakfast buffet was decent but it was a little odd on Sunday when they had chicken wings on offer rather then sausages or bacon. But overall it was a very good stay.

Good value hotel in a great and convenient location. Just outside is a well connected u bahn station which makes getting around easy. Short distance to walk to Checkpoint Charlie too. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is varied and good hours. Only downside for us was furniture in the room looked a bit shabby but otherwise was fine and clean, suitable for our needs.

Make sure to ask for a room in the newer part of the hotel using the elevator nearest the front desk. The “red” elevator is partially broken and slow: and serves a noisier part of the hotel.

Everything was great! Clean and comfy room, friendly and helpful staff, who I could communicate with in English, which is great, because my German is very bad :) There's a subways station nearby, so you can fast and easily get to railway station, city center,and a bunch of places to eat not far from the hotel. Room was nicely setup and clean. Location was perfect for getting around as its very close to a Ubahn station - and Potsdamer Platz is walkable distance (10 mins). Main floor bar is welcoming with a few food items available. There is some construction going on next door but it created minimal disruption.

Great priced hotel to explore Berlin
The hotel as a good price, basically comfortable and clean. The building is a bit of a rabbit warren and that probably reflects the age of the building. The location is great, across the road to the metro and that puts you in the various hearts of the city within a few stops. The public transport is initially confusing but when you realise they have joined it all up it’s really good. Breakfast was varied and all you would want - no real alternatives on the doorstep

The hotel was very nice. There was some construction directly in front so we were not able to pull our car right up front and we had to park a couple of blocks away.

Great service. Although this is located on the west side close to only a brewery and a couple of other restaurants the metro is on your doorstep so it is so easy to travel anywhere in Berlin. It is not a setback thanks to the Metro

This hotel has a super location beside GleisDreicke station connecting all central Berlin, with a huge park, brewery and Tecnhnical museum all on the doorstep. Breakfast is delicious and worthy of 4 star hotel. There is a nice courtyard in the middle. Staff are very helpful The room and shower very clean and comfortable. Our only wish was for one Englsih language news channel.

The hotel was very accessible to tourist stops so made it very easy to explore Berlin. The staff were really friendly and exceptionally helpful - they made me feel welcome even though I was by myself ☺️ The room was smaller than I expected but it was a single room and had lovely big windows - the hotel did also discuss it with me but were full so could not make any changes and I appreciated the conversation. The bed was comfortable and it made for a good place to stop off in between exploring Berlin. I would recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Berlin for a long weekend of exploring and relaxing.

Good hotel overall, decent sized room though lacked aircon, clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. Best feature is the two minute walk to the nearest U-bahn station for U1, U2 and U3 trains.
