MOXY Berlin's air conditioner was broken during our stay when the temperature was over 80 degrees F / 27 degrees C in Berlin at night. The hotel is not equipped to handle the heat through other means. What was more concerning was that they did not alert us of this ahead of our stay or at check in — we had to find this out ourselves at night in the room. When we called asking for help with the air conditioner, the front desk did inform us of the broken AC and said that they would send a fan, which they never did. The front desk also was unable to accommodate a slightly early check in despite being seemingly empty. There were also no bolt locks on the door, which did not help with feeling safe. As a Hotels.com Gold member, Hotels.com was unable to assist us beyond calling the hotel in the middle of the night. A very bad service experience.

Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean, very frienxly and helpful staff. Maybe not the nicestbarea. We paid for parking but the parking was very tight. Overall i would recommend.

I only booked this hotel as an overnight for the convenience of there FEX train to the airport. But it is a great place I shall use again for longer visits to Berlin. It seems a bit out of the way, but the S-bahn & U-bahn connections are good, right to he historical heart of the city. The reception, cafe, bar, breakfast room is delightful and the bedrooms are spacious clean quiet and comfortable. All the staff on reception (I met 4) were always warm, welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast buffet too. Difficult to fault and highly recommended.

My stay was excellent! Staff was super friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious!! Room was very clean and comfy. Loved that it was walking distance from the train station and surrounded by a good amount of shops and restaurants. The bed was much smaller than in the photos, the same as an ikea double, not a king size. Reception staff agreed the photo was misleading. There are no drawers or wardrobe so we had to love out of our suitcases for the week. This is in the small print of the listing description but is a basic requirement that anyone would expect from the most basic accommodation. The shower door was broken and removed meaning the floor and towels got very wet during showering. We had a noisy service entrance outside our window and was constantly disturbed by staff moving loud wheely bins, smoking and vehicles manoeuvring. Breakfast was awful, toast and cereal. Not worth €10 pp p/n. I would give the rooms a 3/10 but the reception lounge was nice and staff were friendly. Unfortunately we were disturbed in the lounge area one evening after two girls had been fighting, police were called and had to restrain one of them etc. We expected much more.

While travelling through Europe, the staff at this hotel were by far the nicest. They went out of their way multiple times to ensure we were happy with our stay and felt comfortable. My favorite part about this hotel is the lobby! There are multiple comfortable and cozy places to sit whether you want to read, work on a laptop, lounge with friends or enjoy a nice breakfast. There are also separate rooms in the lobby so that if you want to close the glass doors for a little extra quiet, you can do so. Our favorite room was a room full of beanbag chairs! Nice space to enjoy a glass of wine. The hotel is also full of really beautiful art. Highly recommend this hotel!

The design of the hotel is great but the tidiness and cleanness mainly of the lounge and reception areas not good at all. There is not enough staff to maintain decent levels of cleanness even in the toilets. It was appalling to see a nice space spoiled but unhealthy cleaning conditions.

The hotel is conveniently located to a main subway line which was convenient. It is a quirky spot with a very young laid back vibe. Overall a nice trip, however the walls are very, very thin. I was often woken up by slamming doors and hearing the people above my room.

Excellent Berlin Hotel
This hotel has an excellent vibe going on. It is upbeat, the 24/7 bar is fantastic, and the gym on the roof is a nice change of scenary for a gym. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I have nothing but glowing recommendations for this hotel.

The hotel was amazing! Super beautiful and trendy! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely made you feel comfortable. The room was amazing! Very spacious, and the bathroom and shower were great as well. It was super close to public transportation and felt pretty safe walking around. The only downside was that they were having technical issues with their TVs so we had no access to internet TV or screen sharing.

My room (316) was very hot, despite the air-conditioning. I reported this to the staff, and was told the technician would be called to take a look. I also requested an electric fan if it could not be fixed, but this did not arrive either. Result: furnace hot room in the morning sun. The guest lockers in the lobby were useful, but fiddly to lock/unlock: I accidentally left my locker insecure, but a helpful staff member locked it for me while I was away. In fact, I can't fault the overall cheerful friendliness of staff.

The location is A1. Close to the Gesundbrunnen train station, walking distance to Alexanderplatz, Prenzlauer Berg. It’s a safe location, I took walks through the park next door, rosengarten im humboldthain, every day. The staff at the MOXY front desk are nice and helpful. Alvaro, Muffvil, Alejandria, Simon, and Maria: they recommended restaurants and places that might be of interest in and around Berlin, gave excellent service ( even when I ordered food at 2am). The staff at MOXY is what I wish all hotel staffs were like.

Beautiful rooms with spacious bathrooms and great products. Convenient to have a bar and food choices in the lobby, but prices were high. Internet worked great, and the lobby had lots of spaces to hangout or meet with friends. Very close to the train, so a quick trip to the downtown sights.

Berlin was the last stop on a 5 country tour for my sister and I. The flight from Amsterdam that I caught would arrive in Berlin around 9:30 in the evening. I contacted the Moxy before my arrival to let them know I would be arriving late in the evening. The Moxy responded, and also gave directions to take the subway to their location. When we arrived at the Moxy, we met with the night time reception staff, and check in was quick and easy. We were given our key cards, and directed to our room. When we arrived to our room, and swiped our cards, I noticed that there was luggage on the floor and upon further inspection, I noticed there were people in the bed. I closed the door immediately, and my sister went downstairs to alert the staff. I was hoping that this was just a mix up. This was not a mix up, the Moxy had overbooked, and they could not accommodate us. We were sent to the AC Hotel a sister hotel next door for the night. Breakfast was a part of our reservation, and there was a brief discussion about whether we were going to eat breakfast at the Moxy or at the AC. We were originally told that we could eat breakfast at either place. Once checked into the AC we asked about breakfast, and we were told that there was a possibility that we would have to pay for breakfast if we ate there. Needless to say, we were told the MOXY could not accommodate us for our stay, and we were moved to the AC for the duration of our trip. We were asked to pay for one night at the moxy.

Would definitely recommend.
Very nice and up to date hotel. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The neighborhood is not bad and there’s a major train stop right around the corner which makes getting around the city quite easy. The lobby offers plenty of seating and the breakfast buffet was quite good.

Staff are very friendly. They got us free drinks on the house because we arrived earlier than check-in was ready. We got a corner room with a balcony that overlooked the park it was beautiful. However, room was spacious but bare. Very little furniture to place items and no safe deposit box.

When originally booking on line I had no idea how well this hotel was accessible by public transport once I arrived at Berlin. The staff at reception were very helpful in planning my activities for the week and gave printouts of train and U Bahn connections throughout the city including trips to Potsdam. Very modern and tasteful decor in reception had a positive vibe to the hotel.
