You will be staying in a small holiday home development in Finkenkrug, a district of Falkensee, just outside Berlin's western gates in the beautiful Havelland region. This family-friendly town is often referred to as the largest village in Germany and boasts wonderful cycling and hiking trails. Thanks to its convenient location right on the western outskirts of Spandau, you can quickly reach the sights of Berlin and Potsdam. From Falkensee train station, about 2.5 kilometers away, the regional train departs every 20 minutes to Berlin city center. Once there, the choice of sights is endless. Whether you take a city tour by bus or a leisurely stroll along the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin is definitely worth a visit. Das Ferienhaus Storchennest 2 in Falkensee bietet den perfekten Rückzugsort für alle, die nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in Berlin Entspannung in der Natur suchen. Die idyllische Lage und die gute Ausstattung machen dieses Haus zu einem idealen Ort für Erholung. Lage und Anbindung Falkensee liegt nur wenige Kilometer von Berlin entfernt und ist hervorragend an das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz angebunden. Die Regionalzüge bringen einen vom Bahnhof Finkenkrug in kurzer Zeit in die Hauptstadt. So erreicht man bequem die vielfältigen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Hauptstadt. Für alle Nachtschwärmer gibt es selbst mitten in der Nacht immer noch Züge, die über Finkenkrug nach Berlin fahren. Der Regionalzug fährt direkt von Finkenkrug nach Spandau, Berlin Hbf und Potsdamer Platz. Das Ferienhaus Das Storchennest 2 ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigt. Es verfügt über ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer, WLAN, Bettwäsche, Handtücher und eine Endreinigung sind inklusive. Der Garten bietet zusätzlichen Raum zum Entspannen und Genießen der Natur. Vor allem wenn man nach einem langen Tag aus Berlin zurückkehrt, freut man sich über die Ruhe und darf bei Vogelgezwitscher etwas abschalten. Umgebung In der Umgebung von Falkensee gibt es zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, darunter ein großes Outletcenter in Wustermark. Für Naturfreunde bietet die Düberitzer Heide tolle Landschaften und eine reiche Tierwelt. Direkt am Finkenkruger Bahnhof gibt es einen Penny und nur wenige Straßen entfernt ist ein Edeka. Am Bahnhof gibt es außerdem ein tolles Steakhouse, sowie das Restaurant La Bocca. 1-2 Straßen weiter befindet sich das Hexenhaus, das aber bei unserem Besuch geschlossen war. Fazit Das Ferienhaus Storchennest 2 ist der perfekte Rückzugsort für alle, die nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in Berlin die Ruhe und Natur genießen möchten. Ich wollte auch nicht so weit (von Berlin) und mit öffentlichen Verkehr reisen. Dieses gemütliche Haus mit Kamin konnten wir mieten. Es war leicht zu erreichen mit S-Bahn, Regional Bahn und Bus. (Eine Bushaltestelle ist nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Haus). Es befindet sich in einem ruhigen Stadtteil von Falkensee, Finkenkrug, mit Ein-und Zweifamilienhäuser. Ein gut ausgesattetes Edeka mit Bäcker ist 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß weg. Man ist auch nicht weit vom Wald. Einige Reiterhöfe, sowie Karls Erdbeerhof und weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind auch ganz in der Nähe. Falls man Berlin oder Potsdam besuchen möchte, ist man in einer Stunde im Zentrum Berlins. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und gemütlich: Im Wohnzimmer gibt es ein Kamin, eine nette Sitzecke, und die Küche. Draußen gibt es auch Ausstattung zum Grillen und Sitzten, was wir nicht benutzt haben, da wir im Winter da waren. Wir konnten Holz von den Hausbesitzern kaufen, und sie waren freundlich und Hilfsbereit. ##### Rachel T.
