Room allocation was an issue. I arrived early not expecting to get into the room so asked what the room number would be so as I could charge to it in the meantime - was given the wrong number. When I got to the room it was set up as a double (we booked a twin) Spent half an hour phoning reception, ...
Lovely hotel, food in the restaurant was excellent as were the restaurant staff. The pool, sauna and hydrotherapy pool were great and a very welcome treat the morning after our race. My only disappointment was the lack of information about the hotel in the room, no details of pool opening times, ...
Staff were friendly and efficient Spa and pool great resource Lovely locations on the river Room had everything I needed and was very clean Downside - ideally would have liked not to be woken by bin collections outside (location of room) Breakfast choice great but some of the cooked items needed ...
An absolute must for a romantic meal and stay. Pay for the upgrade to a suite. It is worth it. Wine list is stunning and you can have over 100 wines by the glass. Amazing place. Only thing to watch is breakfast. Not included costs over £20 but is not that good really. Fairly average English breakfast ...
Overnight stay for work. Pool so good I used it twice in a short space of time. Room was a bit dated and a little cold but spacious in good condition with a comfortable bed. Staff very pleasant and breakfast perfectly acceptable.
Easy check in, friendly and professional staff. Problem with hot water in room was resolved by Charlotte- trainee receptionist - who arranged for showers to be available in the leisure suite and supplied us with robes and slippers. Lovely breakfast, though very busy on Sunday morning. Swim and spa ...
Friendly welcome and comfortable spacious room.. also quiet, not easy in a busy 'wedding weekend' hotel. Good breakfastr, itt was very busy but there were no holds ups. Would stay again ,
Luxury hotel with amazing grounds and views. Couldn't fault the staff, who were all helpful and attentive. It is very expensive (we went for my husbands 60th birthday), but they did surprise us with a bottle of champagne and birthday cake in our room!
The Reception and Bar staff were delightful and very helpful. The decor was in very good condition and the room was spotless. There was free parking, it was very conveniently situated and quiet. I didn't use the restaurant or Leisure facilities. The fire alarm rang at 5am but went silent after about ...
Poor checkout experience, . Staff said there was no bus to airport at the required time when there was. Delay in checking out not because they were busy but they were unable to operate computer, this almost caused us to miss transport.
Berkshire is in the south of England and surrounded by the counties of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Wiltshire. It's easily accessible by road or rail from London and has a wealth of attractions such as Highclere Castle and Ascot Racecourse. The River Thames and River Kennet also flow through Berkshire, so there are plenty of opportunities for riverside strolls. Reading is great for shopping, while Windsor is an attractive town with a number of historic buildings, the most well-known being the elite Eton College, founded by Henry VI in 1440. With all of this to choose from, you might also need some 'me' time to recover! Fortunately the county has more than its fair share of spa hotels too. Stay in a spa hotel in Berkshire and then explore and enjoy all the county has to offer while feeling completely refreshed and relaxed.
Runnymede is a beautiful water meadow that forms part of the Thames Path. Runnymede is the riverside site where the Magna Carta was signed in 1215. Relax by the river, take part in a guided walk or visit the Magna Carta memorial and reflect on 800 years of democracy at Runnymede.
Elsewhere, Shaw House is a 25 minute walk from Newbury town centre and just 5 minutes from the junction of the M4 and A34. The manor house was built in 1581 by the influential cloth merchant Thomas Dolman. It is associated with King Charles I, was believed to be his headquarters during the Second Battle of Newbury and today stands as a wonderful example of an early symmetrical H-plan Elizabethan mansion. You might not want to leave your spa hotel in Berkshire, but you'll be glad you did.
The county is used to catering for the rich and famous, so it's no surprise that the facilities at its top-of-the-range spa hotels are truly exemplary. Spa Hotels in Berkshire are the ultimate in luxury, and ma hotels have health and fitness suites and other facilities to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Therapies, massage and pampering is on tap, and luxurious rooms are available in a range of sizes. Accessible rooms are available if reserved in advance, while room service and WiFi comes as standard.
