No shower gel in room. Drinks were extortionate....38 pounds for four drinks!!! We were staying at the hotel for a 60th birthday party and struggled to afford a drink to celebrate!!! The food was

Good place to stay for a stop over

Pillows are not comfortable. Don’t get a breakfast voucher unless you are 100% sure you can make it. Unlike other hotels, you will be charged whether you eat or not. The policy is no refund, which was not mentioned to me. Fortunately, I did get a refund because this policy was not mentioned. Apart from that it is a comfy hotel and would stay again

A challenging, humiliating visit

Checked in as usual but got a knock on the door later and asked how we got this room, implying we hadn’t checked in! Then, used breakfast vouchers we purchased at reception but, again, were approached by staff stating these were not paid for! So went to reception and they told me I didn’t have a valid credit card listed - even though when I checked in I handed them my card but was told it wasn’t necessary as they could use the card I used on Expedia as they had it on file. Hotel itself is tired and needs redoing.

The hotel was very busy as it was the bank holiday weekend but the staff coped very well. The breakfast was good and items were topped up in a speedy manner. Plenty of parking. Only downside was that it was quite tricky to find. It would have been useful to have a sign on the main road.
