Escape to Idyllife, a spacious cabin nestled in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. This unique retreat boasts four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a loft, and a fully equipped kitchen. Community amenities included are a seasonal outdoor pool, hiking trails, and tennis courts. Perfect for families and groups seeking a memorable getaway.
The Space:
Pet Friendly, Private Hot Tub
Idyllife is situated on the mountainside only 4 miles from downtown Berkeley Springs. The cabin features three levels, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms.
On the main level you will find a bedroom with a full size bed, full bath, fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, and a spacious living room with soaring windows showing off the views all year round and a sunken conversation area with a wood burning fireplace.
The upper level of the cabin offers the loft with a futon bed, a private bedroom with a king bed, and a full bathroom.
The lowest level offers two bedrooms, one with a bunk bed (both bunks have full size beds and a twin trundle) and the second with a king bed and private patio access to the hot tub. This level also offers an additional living room with a T.V. and two futons, offering sleeping for 4 guests. Inside you'll also find lots of books, games, and puzzles on hand for your enjoyment.
Outdoors features an oversized deck with lots of seating, a grill, and a private hot tub.
Within the community and just a short distance from the cabin you will have access to the "blue" and "white" hiking trails and Coolfont Mountainside's tennis and basketball courts, tot-lot, recreation field. Memorial Day-Labor Day, the community inground swimming pool and hot tub are available at cost through the community. You needn’t go far for good food and drinks - the Coolfont Treetop Restaurant and Berkeley Springs Brewery are right outside the community (Less than 1 Mile). More dining, shopping, and entertainment are minutes away in downtown Berkeley Springs. Aloft is also only minutes from the Cacapon Resort State Park, which offers golfing on a course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., miles of hiking trails of varying difficulty, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, boating, and more.
Guest Access:
After booking and once we receive your email address we will send you our rental agreement. It will be emailed directly to you from our direct booking site. Once agreed upon and submitted back, you will receive your arrival instructions prior to your stay, which will include directions and access to the cabin.
Access will be self check in for your safety.
All rental agreement policies must be followed.
The Neighborhood:
Community amenities include the on site hiking trails, tennis and basketball courts, rec field, tot-lot, and Memorial Day-labor Day access to the community pool and shared hot tub are available at an additional cost.

– HOUSEKEEPING:
There is no daily housekeeping service provided in the rental rate. Before check-in, the unit will be thoroughly cleaned and inspected by our check-in supervisor to ensure all cleaning and sanitizing protocols were applied. Clean sheets and towels will be available in the unit. We provide 1 bath towel and wash cloth per guest, 1 bed sheet and comforter per bed. There is a washer and dryer on-site.
Please be aware there is no street parking. This is a matter of public safety and Fire Code. Please Park in your driveway or at the extra parking spaces by the rec area of the community. Vehicles parked in the roadways may be towed and will be at the owner’s expense.
\*ADDITIONAL CHARGES THAT WILL APPLY IF ISSUES BELOW ARRISE: (please read the rental agreement in full to see all details)
\- $90 - each clogged toilet.
\- $500 - smoking inside and/or smoking debris left outside for cleanup.
\- $100 - each moved furniture.
\- $450 - frozen/locked HVAC unit (caused when the thermostat is lower than
68°F in the summer months and higher than 75°F in the winter months).
\-$200 - Trash issues.
\-$250 - Hot Tub issues caused by guests
\- If necessary, additional cleaning/trash issues will be charged.
•TO AVOID ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES, WE ASK THAT OUR HOME BE LEFT IN SAME CONDITION AS WHEN YOU ARRIVED.

FAQ:
\- When is trash picked up?
Trash Collection happens on Tuesdays after 6:00am.
\*Trash policy- Guest(s) will bag and properly dispose of all their trash including recycling items.
All trash/recycling items must be bagged in appropriate (13-gallon bags or larger) trash bags and placed in proper outdoor locations prior to departure. The local trash company will not haul away loose left items, small bags, pet bags, or grocery bags.
Failure to properly bag (kitchen size bags or larger only) and/or remove all garbage/recyclables from the cabin will result in additional charges not less than $200.00 for bagging and additional haul off.
The trash bin is located at the end of the driveway. Trash bin must have lid shut and secured after each use to ensure animal damage/destruction doesn’t occur.
\-What items can clog a toilet?
Our septic systems are fragile and items such as feminine products, paper towels, excess toilet paper, or anything else that does not belong in a toilet can cause a backup in the system. Do not put anything in the toilet except for normal use of toilet paper.
\- Can I send mail to the property?
USPS does not provide service in the community. UPS and FedEx may be able to deliver to your home (be sure to provide accurate address information). Note, Mountainside Getaways is not responsible for lost or undelivered packages.
\- What are the community quiet hours? Are there any additional fees to use the amenities?
Quiet Hours are 11:00pm-8:00am. Please note that the community hot tub and pool are seasonal and only open Memorial Day-Labor Day. Water facilities are paid through the community at the time you wish to use them. In the event of weather or maintenance needs, please note there will be no refunds given due for the community amenities.
\- When will I receive my check in instructions? What is the check in process?
A confirmation email will be sent 1-5 days prior to arrival. A door code/lockbox code will be included along with detailed driving directions as GPS isn’t always reliable in our area. \*Please note if the rental agreement and arrival information form are not submitted to our company, we will be unable to send the check in instructions until both forms are completed and returned to our company.
\-What is the Cancellation Policy?
A $25 processing fee will be charged for all canceled reservations. Reservations canceled 30 days prior to check-in will be fully refunded, minus the processing fee. Cancellations 15-29 days prior to check-in will result in a 50% refund, minus the processing fee.
Cancellations within 14 days of check-in will be nonrefundable.
There are no refunds for early checkouts.
\- How many cars can I park?
You can park up to 5 cars on the driveway and additional cars at the community over flow area by the rec- amenities.

We spent a long weekend at this Berkeley Springs retreat, our second visit in 2024. As before, we found the house to be comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with dishes, cookware, and appliances. The conversation pit in front us the fireplace is a particular favorite with this property. We hope to visit again in 2025.

#### Welcoming Chalet
We thoroughly enjoyed a long, snowy weekend at Idyllife with our two dogs. For much of our stay, we enjoyed sitting by the fire in the conversation pit while the snow fell outside. Idyllife has the charming vintage characteristics of a time gone by, yet it has been carefully updated to ensure guests enjoy comfortable amenities. We plan to return in the future.

#### Wonderful, relaxing stay.
Perfect house for a getaway with friends or family. We went as a couple and it was relaxing. The conversation pit with the fire going was great. Lots of games to play and comfortable areas to gather. Location was great and we had no issues finding the place using regular apple gps. Easy check in/out. Would recommend to anyone- can't wait to come back!

#### Perfect Peaceful Space
Mountainside Getaways did everything to make our family vacation easy. They were great answering questions and providing information ahead of the trip. The house itself had loads of community space and private space so you could sleep peacefully while others stayed up playing charades. Pet friendly home and community, walkable roads and trails, very nearby the gorgeous lookout & charming downtown. Can’t wait to return!

#### Spacious mountain house
Great mountain house: 2 families and 5 kids comfortably fit with plenty of room. Quiet location, beautiful views and easy access to town. The only challenge was the kitchen, stove was not functioning. The solution appeared to be 4 hot plates but the layout and outlet situation in the kitchen was less than ideal to prepare meals for 9 people. Property manager was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I would recommend staying here once the stove is working.

#### Idyllife Thanksgiving weekend
Great place to stay with a large group. We had myself, my four adult children, their spouses and their children ages 1 to 8 yrs old and one sweet small dog. We had plenty of room with for all. The kitchen was small but accommodated our needs. There was plenty of rooms to play games and tables for all to eat. The views were beautiful, the location was close to a couple of breweries and a winery that we visited. This was Thanksgiving weekend and I bet summer would even more fun with the pool and playgrounds available. We enjoyed a group walk with the family. We would definitely consider booking again, maybe in the summer.

#### Has Potential, Needs Work
Our family had not all been together for two years. We were excited to rent this home as the pictures showed a clean, spacious house that could accommodate all of us. Unfortunately, we encountered problems as soon as we arrived. These included filthy AC units; ripped screening on the porch allowing bugs and animals to come in and thus preventing the sliding door to the adjoining, unairconditioned bedroom to be opened; curling dining room rug which was a tripping hazard, and broken window cranks in the second-floor bedroom and kitchen. To her credit, Holly from Mountainside Getaways responded quickly and satisfactorily remedied as many issues as possible within 24 hours. Other than a small kitchen, the house is spacious with beautiful forest views, a large outside deck, a hot tub, and wonderful books, puzzles, and games to enjoy.
