    Friends in Bergamo

The property is very charming and well located. Laura was very helpful, told us were to go and what to eat. We loved Bergamo.

    Apartment close to Citta Alta

Laura met us at the door, as promised. You'd never know it was there - off a backstreet, through a slightly dusty courtyard, and there on the right is the apartment. Split level, with the bedroom being galleried. Nicely decorated, and spotless. Well-appointed bathroom/shower; comfortable living room. It's a 10-minute walk from the Citta Alta (uphill, though!) One word of caution: the stairs from living room to bedroom are quite steep, and probably unsuitable for the mobility-impaired. I wouldn't want to fall down them! Overall, an excellent place to stay.

    Pros: Location, facilities, decor.

Cons: Probably not in Laura's power, but spruce the courtyard up a bit.

Location: This is most of the way from the rail station to the Citta Alta. Loads of cafes, restaurants and historic sightseeing. And views!

    Historic and contemporary stylishly combined

Located in an historic street between the upper and lower parts of the city, this apartment provides a characterful, quiet and convenient base from which to visit this fascinating and vibrant city by foot. The apartment has a unique atmosphere that stylishly blends medieval surroundings with contemporary furnishings and facilities. The welcome is warm, the setting is invigorating but serene and the experience very enjoyable.

Fantastic For a Wet Winter Break.

A 4 minute walk from the bus stop that serves the Airport/Railway Station, Home Laura is an eclectic mix of the old and new. A five night stay in February was made knowing I could return back from a wet days sightseeing to a warm cosy apartment - the underfloor heating was a real bonus. Laura was very helpfull with tips of the area and was always accessable by phone. It is situated in a very old part of Citta Bassa and a mere 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride up to Citta Alta so in my view the perfect compromise. Car parking is a problem so contact Laura prior to arrival, if you intend to use public transport buy the 3 day pass for 7 Euros at the Airport it is amazingly good value. I can't comment on what it may be like in the summer months but for my Winter break it was perfect.
