"The room looked clean and tidy a bit basic, but ok. Did smell strong of bleach. Staff very friendly and helpful.Breakfast very nice and tasty. Bar looked okay we didn't use it. There's a swimmingpool inside and was warm enough to enjoy a swim. But if you forget your towel for the swimmingpool you got to pay to hire them"

Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay overall. The room was clean and stylish, and the nearby beach was lovely and well maintained. Dinner was very good, with generous portions for children. However, the pool seemed over-chlorinated, which caused our child’s eyes to become sore. The breakfast was rather disappointing and not worth the price, and the café staff could have been more helpful and attentive."

Haven Hotel

"Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean but our bathroom was tired and dated and lacked anywhere to put our own items. However, the hotel’s situation was stunning and worth every penny of the cost. The wonderful scenery and views as well as a great sized heated pool with immediate access to a beautiful beach meant that there was really no need to leave the hotel."

Marsham Court Hotel

Marsham Court Hotel

8/10 Good
"This is a very well appointed hotel in a convenient location by Bournemouth standards, directly across the street from the Russell Cotes Museum, and a climb up the hill from the pier area. The spacious rooms are clean and have every amenity you could want, including two fans, which came in handy in July. And enough storage to put away a month's worth of belongings. The pool area is lovely, we were here a few weeks earlier and there were no chairs out. and no one around. The second time there were no chairs left and the bar was open. So I guess you have to time the pool area just right. When I arrived early, my room wasn't quite ready so I went to sit in the bar area for a cup of tea. I'm afraid that was not well timed either, the employee was obviously upset about something and was short tempered. Then the other person in the bar had to get a refund from a different employee because what she ordered for lunch had gone off in some way. I didn't hear the whole conversation while I was waiting for my tea. But he gave her a refund and an apology. Compared to several other large hotels in the immediate area, I would choose the Marshawn again."
