"I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again."

Within minutes, Joe the groundskeeper arrived with fresh coconuts with straws for them to drink. Carlos the night time security guard was so friendly and helpful. "MaxRooms is nicely located, less than 5 minutes walk from the market and an ATM.
The staff were really helpful and the food at the restaurant downstairs was really good and budget friendly.
The room was dated but it was clean, had hot water, and good internet.
All in all, you get great value for what you are paying for.
I would stay again at MaxRooms and from San Ignacio, you can visit Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, Baracol, the ATM and Barton creek caves."
