        Excellent Stay

Although the pictures were accurate I think they did not do the place justice. The railroad station was an excellent place to stay. Very spacious, well supplied, wonderful location. I would highly recommend, and hope to stay there again whenever I am visiting that part of Vermont.

A History Buff's Dream (and all-around wonderful place)

Our group of two 60-somethings and four 30-somethings spent two nights at Arlington Station; we were in the area for a wedding. The place was a delight in every way -- spacious, pleasant, and interesting! Right in town (close to the historic cemetery), lots of hills and byways for our runners. The kitchen was well-equipped, the great room had plenty of comfortable seats. Younger folks loved the game room; older folks loved the outdoor seating next to the railroad tracks. There were clear instructions in our welcome letter; John and Susan promptly answered the few questions we had. We have visited old train depots around the American West, and elsewhere in the U.S. This was our first time staying in one! We'll be back! PS: Did I mention that the station is adjacent to the home sites of Ethan Allen and John Chittenden?

            Beautifully restored unique gem!

This one was my best rental yet. The bottom line: exactly what you see in the pictures is what you get (except the dishwasher is brand new as of my visit). This is a beautifully restored, well maintained actual train station, tracks and all. The original platform outside is now a nice deck on which to sit and watch the freight train pass by daily. The inside is very spacious with two large rooms for gathering, and it's also stocked with everything you might need or want, including arcade games (actual pinball!), books and board games to entertain the kids. I'm both a train and old architecture buff, so this home gave me lots to examine and explore. Be sure to check out the outside of the building, as well as the old telegrams and pictures on the walls inside. We will definitely return.

Such a charming place to spend a weekend. Really nicely restored. Great for a family, plenty of room to spread out, the great room with the games is such a treat, easy kitchen for meals. Very quiet and peaceful. Pretty sunset view from the train platform. Country store and Stewarts right around the corner for the basics. Easy drive into Manchester and surrounding sites.
