This Travelodge in Trenton did the trick. We stayed here while travelling for the Solar Eclipse of 2024, having to make a decision as to whether to head east towards Montreal and Sherbrooke, or stick to our original plan and head west towards the shores of Lake Erie. I woke up on the morning of the April 7th, the day before the eclipse, and wandered down to the shores of the Bay of Quinte... the property has a nice grassy area where you can walk, reflect, and appreciate the beautiful Ontario nature on the water. I watched the sunrise over the water, and pondered the uncertain adventure ahead of me. Thankfully, the correct decision came to me, and I shared a nice conversation with the concierge about the beautiful scenery and history of the area. Long and short, we saw the solar eclipse in totality on the shores of Lake Erie; but the careful reflection that came to me while staying in this Travelodge was a pivotal part of our journey!
Breakfast was decent and simple for a Travelodge, and the night was actually very quiet, especially given the hotel was full of travelers for the eclipse, like myself.
