Nice hotel, good location but needs some refurbishment. downside is that food delivery is not allowed to leave at the reception area, which most Chinese hotels allow to. a bit disappointed with that

Good stay. Will consider it again in the future.
The hotel met my expectations. The room is big and clean. The only trouble is that the front desk or the system messed up my reservation and changed my 3-day stay to a 2-day stay. However, after some communication, it worked out.

Overall quite satisfied!
Room is spacious, clean, and arranged in a neat and simple manner. Service in general is fast, and they offer 24-hour room service of food delivery, which is quite rare and unique for hotels of this class (guessing it's a four-star rating hotel in China). Lobby looks large and nice. Location is convenient but not too busy or crowded -- A nearby Walmart and a subway station (about 10-minute walk), as well as several small restaurants. It's relatively easy to call a taxi in the neighborhood of the hotel. Overall quite satisfied!

A simple near luxry place to stay.
The hotel is not magnificent, not close to all traffic stop, not expensive either. It is relatively high in value/cost ratio. there are many eating places around it within walking distance. if you want to stay for a few days other than one, it is a nice choice.

Great rooms and location, very poor English skills
Very well-maintained hotel close to the metro with nice rooms. But the hotel staff is appears to be not very friendly. This is probably due to extremely poor English-language skills among the staff. A hotel of this calibre ought to have at least one reasonably good English speaker at the front desk at all times - and certainly during daytime and evening hours. I had to use sign language to communicate even the simplest of things, and had it not been for a Chinese colleague a phone call away, I would have found it quite difficult. Also a business center would be a nice touch.

Check in was a bit slow and no offer to help with luggage despite travel with elderly parent. Lack of English skills made customer service challenging at times. Restaurant in hotel had VERY slow service, though food-price ratio was good. Room very large and had everything we needed.

Pros: * Relatively close to subway (can be far in Beijing) * Nice (small) park next door * Hard bed was good for my back Cons: * "Non-smoking" room had lingering smoke residue that aggravated my allergies * Sheets weren't changed once during 5-night stay (I pulled the flat sheet to check for bedbugs on arrival but it was never fixed. At least there weren't any bedbugs.) * Few food options nearby; McD's nearest cafe option in the morning (10-min walk) * Pool/gym opened late (10 AM), which made it impossible for a business traveler to use in the morning) In hindsight, I would've stayed at another hotel at a higher price point. As an international traveler, it did not meet my expectations for an average four-star rating (on the site).

This hotel is terrific. Everything is great - location, size of the room, cleaness, decoration, price... I took pictures of the hotel room and sent them to my friends. Everyone says the hotel is so great at such a cheap price. I will definitely come back again!

A 3 star affair with a 5 star vision
The hotel looks grand when you enter its lobby and the guest room is huge. But that is where the good thing ends about Jingyi. You could feel that the hotel was designed with a grand vision as a five star hotel, but reality makes Jingyi a three star property. The biggest problem I had is that you cannot lower the room temperature. My room was very hot when I got in and I turned on the aircon to cool it, but only to make the room hotter! So I called and someone came to help. It was then that I learned that the hotel does not offer air conditioning during winter. As a result, by turning on air conditioning, you only blow hot air into the room! So, I was advised to turn off the air conditioning and open the window. However, that made my three night stay quite uncomfortable. Another problem I had is the hotel's swimming pool. I am a daily swimmer and a major reason I chose Jingyi is its swimming pool which looks great from the hotel's photos. However, to my surprise, the pool is managed by a sports club independent of the hotel and a hotel guest is required to pay a discounted fee of 90 RMB yuan (almost US$15) to use it each time. On top of that, the pool does not offer towels and you will have to bring your own towel to the pool, which is unheard of in even some three star hotels!

Room is huge. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is modern and looks new. The location is good and less ten minutes walk to a subway station. Overall, it is a 4.5 star hotel without high price tag.

A good place to stay for family plan or business. The staff are friendly and helpful. But the indoor atmosphere was full of cigarette smoke at all times. They should be more strict with disobedient guests .

Excellent Hotel!
The hotel is very nice, they gave us an upgrade to a nice suite without even asking. It has 3 restaurants and the breakfast buffet has lots of different kinds of foods, the personnel is very helpfull with giving you directions and writing the chinese names for taxi drivers, the place is very clean and we are very satisfied with this hotel, we recommend this hotel to anyone going to Beijing!

Great hotel for both business and leisure
I was there for a one night business trip. I would have to say that the hotel is great for both business and leisure. The room was spacious and very comfortable. there was a nearby Walmart to get necessities and some food places on either sides of the hotels (probably about 5 -8mins walking distance). English is not a widely spoken language there, so there will be some difficulties communicating with the hotel staff.

Would not likely stay here again. 1. Broke my luggage completely after they tried to repair a missing part they threw out. No offer to replace the luggage $US 400 down the drain 2. Food is horrible, don't order room service, even one of my local friends got sick on the dumplings. 3. Room minibar is never restocked, constantly told my deposit was empty and I should pay by cash for numerous items and then have to go to the front desk an wait in line, well there is really no line, and you have to fight to see a desk clerk, only to have them tell me that the deposit is fine. Still waiting for them to contact me about the luggage, two weeks later

The hotel was nice and modern. Located within walking distance of the subway. I had a room with a king bed, the view was nice enough at night, and the room itself was huge! The bathroom was spacious and well designed. The sheets could have been softer, but as a whole I had a very nice stay.

The hotel was quite nice, but the a/c was turned off since it wasn't the hot season. However, if you get under the one thick blanket, it is hot. I had to sleep on top of the blanket. For such a nice hotel, you would think having control of the temp would have been nice.

on the website, they advertise that they have pool and ping-pong table which are the main reasons we picked them for family vacation. But the pool was "under maintenance". the ping-pong table costs you 50RMB just to get in. same with the gym - all costs money to use. make sure you bring cash - they require security deposit at check-in even though you have paid for the hotel.

Reasonable hotel
Before I booked this hotel I read several reviews that staff here do not speak English. This is not true. I found that on every shift there is at least one member of staff that speaks reasonable English. Its location (near to metro station and WalMart) is very convenient. Be warned that the upkeep of hotel rooms is not brilliant. The carpet is not very clean and the beds are firm (very firm). Otherwise I found my stay here is very pleasant.

A stay away for Non-Smokers
In a 5 nights stay, I saw both good and bad qualities of this hotel. Courteous front desk staffs and fast & clean house keeping. Clean bathroom. I rated a 2 for the comfort of my room for two reasons. First, they really need a better mattress for a 4 Star Hotel. Firm mattress is fine, but I shouldn't feel springs. The key point to make me return to a hotel for my next trip is the sleeping comfort. So, this hotel is in my exclusion list on my next trip. Secondly, it doesn't really make a difference whether your room is on a non-smoking floor or not. The design of the vents and the design of an atrium in the middle of the hotel allows tobacco smell to spread into the room 24/7. Most of the guests ignored the non-smoking signs in the lifts and public areas. More importantly, staffs did not remind or warn violators at all. Management, it is pretty meaningless to put a non-smoking sign above a cigarette ashtray. If you're a person who cherish your health, I suggest you to stay somewhere else. Smokers, you can have your habit and hobby but please do not smoke where prohibited .
