Traveling Abroad

Posted 19-Mar-2017
This hotel is located in a great area to catch the subway, get American coffee and wonderful Chinese bakery food. The hotel staff is pleasant, but generally there is difficulty in communication because they are not fluent in English and we did not speak fluent Chinese. Water is always provided if you request at the desk (otherwise 2 bottles are provided daily in the room - you may have to wait for a half hour if requested in the evening for a bottle of water). If you are traveling from the United States, do not use a power strip as they short out the electricity). The walls of the hotel have adapters already pre-built into the outlets, so just plug in cpap machines, razors or phones were fine by themselves. A taxi can be called for you, but have the address in Chinese already to show front desk and cab driver (make sure taxi has a meter in the vehicle) Always have your address of hotel or card of hotel with you in Chinese. We enjoyed our stay, but we also had friends in China showing us around their city.

A huge disappointment

Posted 14-Nov-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: The location was close to many places to eat and shop.
Cons: No door on the bathroom, it was very small, only one elevator worked, no shuttle for the airport, unfriendly staff.....
Location: Lots of places to eat and shop nearby
The first room they put us in wasn't even cleaned. The second room they put us in did not have a door to the bathroom, just a hole........................I was sharing the room with my adult son......very awkward. Only one of the two elevators actually worked and there were 17 stories of rooms, so there was always a wait for the elevators. The staff was very unfriendly and un-knowledgeable about the area. They wouldn't even call us a taxi to go to the airport........and no shuttle service. I was glad it was for only one night.

Functional hotel, very average

Posted 29-Sep-2016 on Hotels
Despite having some large offices nearby, its a pretty local area of town so don't be too hopeful for international amenities and eating options. The room was fairly comfortable but looking pretty dated and tired. If you're facing the road, traffic noise could be an issue as there's constant honking.

nice hotel

Lovely hotel with a great front desk staff. I came in about 9am after an overnight flight and they got me in a room so I could sleep a bit. I so appreciated it. The only down side has to do with maintenance as the shower had quite a bit of mold and the shower head didn't work correctly to control the flow.

Excellent service from the staff, friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced and in a good location for seeing several tourist attractions.

Clean bedding but bathroom with bad smell

Posted 31-Mar-2016 on Hotels
The front desk is efficient and friendly. But the so called "free car park" has only 5 slots, so always full. Guests can only use the paid car park nearby. It's quite expensive during daytime, 5RMB/hr. From 21:00-7:00, it's much cheaper, 1RMB/2hrs. One important shortcoming is the bad smell of the bathroom. It's always a big problem of hotels in China, which will spoil the stay, make it a disappointing one.....
