Perfect for parkrun.

The staff were very nice. Hotel style is cute. Unfortunately the noise makes it very difficult to sleep. Walls are very thin so you hear everything and my room overlooked the trash bins and you could hear every time the gate was open. Further, the headboard to the bed was stained and gross. Lastly I understood there were no closets but there’s also no luggage stand so either you’re accessing your suitcase on the floor or keeping it on the bed.

Lovely stay on campus.

The Lake Hotel was just gorgeous and offered attentive staff, excellent amenities and views to die for. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the thermal suite after travelling from Australia and a week of performances at the Cork Choral Festival. The whole visit was exactly what we needed. Coming to stay overnight was a gift to myself for my 60th birthday recently, the chocolates and gift of a picture of the view from the Hotel towards the lake in our room on arrival were much appreciated 🙌 ❤️

Screebe House is a beautifully peaceful getaway. We had a gorgeous view of the water. At night looking across the water was very little light. It was so peaceful. The food was very good with great portion size. Breakfast was included with a small buffet plus a made to order hot option. Dinner was a 2 or 3 course choice. I did an appetizer and main and walked away full and satisfied. The second evening we let them know that we were exploring and went to Kylemore Abbey and the Clifdon. We did not use the spa or pool but we did check out the pool and it was in a lovely spot (indoor and saltwater) we did go down to the pier and dipped our toes into the cold sea. There is a ladder for those adventurous ones who want to swim. I would definitely recommend the Screebe House to anyone looking to get away from it all. My only complaint is no air conditioning- but that is only because we come from an area that everything is air conditioned. But I would go back in a heartbeat!
