Beautiful hotel and grounds. The Wernher restaurant with its magnificent chandeliers, hanging tapestries and marble walls being the highlight. One day my wife and myself were the only two in the pool, so definitely not overcrowded. Will definitely be returning. Go on treat yourself, 'you're worth ...
Well managed hotel, good reception staff. Lovely garden. Even though a large wedding booking being planned, staff organised coffee in the bar. Rooms away from music and able to check in early and order taxis to our wedding elsewhere. Would return as a very historic location.
Tiny bathroom, had to squeeze in. Modern decor in room but the rest of the hotel was dirty, building works in progress so dust, paint all over the carpets, gym dusty. Location and parking were good.
the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived she looked after my wife when she suffered a panic attack.
Perfectly good hotel to stay for catching an early plane. But also the only one I have found where it is a possible to book a room for 3 adults. That makes it my first choice.
Located just a short distance to the north of London, Bedfordshire is among the United Kingdom's favourite holiday destinations. Blessed with acre after acre of untouched and breath-taking countryside, it's a particularly popular choice with those keen to relax and have some down-time. A memorable luxury hotel isn't just about ticking boxes and providing stellar facilities to guests. It's also about establishing an element of class and executing the decoration with taste too. There are plenty of hotels in Bedfordshire getting this exactly right, offering guests the chance to immerse themselves in decadence.
The Luton Hoo Hotel is among the most decadent in Bedfordshire. Set within more than 1,000 acres of picturesque countryside and landscaped gardens, the Luton Hoo is a hotel whose vocabulary definitely does not include the words 'modest' or 'humble'! Guests can also enjoy a full list of facilities, which includes an on-site golf course.
Exquisite food is just par for the course on a luxury break. While the towns of Bedford and Luton offer an impressive selection of excellent restaurants, most holidaymakers like to have the option to eat well within their hotel or guest house.
The Bedford Swan Hotel offers guests the best of both worlds. The hotel is located in the heart of Bedford, right on the River Great Ouse, offering easy access to all the town's restaurants and bars. In the hotel itself, the River Room Restaurant boasts a AA rosette.
Luxury holidays are all about being pampered, and no relaxing break would be complete with a visit to the spa. While there are a number of independent spas dotted around Bedfordshire, some of the county's finest hotels actually house spas of their own.
Champney's Henlow represents the zenith of tranquillity and relaxation. The county escape features a long list of spa facilities, to include a Thalossotherapy pool, whirlpool and a variety of steam rooms, sauna rooms and dedicated treatment rooms. The accommodation is also spectacular, as is the dining.
