Ibis Hotel - nahe Luton Airport

Posted 26-Jul-2016

Pros: Well worth booking
Cons: Everything was fine
Location: We used hotel as a stop over as we had to be at the airport at 4am to check in so did not go out of hotel
We booked a night before we flew easy to book in, room clean, food good

Walking distance to terminal

Posted 10-Jul-2016
Typical ibis hotel, close to the airport. Decent little restaurant. It is worth noting that the traffic can be horrendous to get into the airport and this hotel is located approx 10 min walk away. There is a shuttle bus but might be quicker to walk

So easy to access airport

Posted 08-Jul-2016
We arrived by bus in late afternoon for early next day flight, very thankful we had plenty of time! Inevitable delays comforted by the fact we had a decent bed waiting for us. Nice walk to & from airport, only 5-10 minutes. We took taxi due to volume of luggage but many walk and shuttles are available.

Convenient for the airport

Posted 08-May-2016
Pros: The curtesy of the staff on the reception desk
Cons: The placing of a mirror over the dressing table/desk, there is an ideal place at the side of the window if the blind was not pulled across it.
Location: As we were staying befor and after a flight we did not go out.
The restaurant was a disappointment, the food was OK a little over priced for ehat we had, but the main complaint was that there were people sitting in the restaurant area not eating but laughing and talking in very loud voices, this disturbed what should have been a nice quiet relaxing evening.

airport hotel

I was fortunate to get this at a good rate else it would be over priced. It's basic, does what you need. Now looking a bit tired. Bed was far to hard 2 singles pushed together to make a double.

Convenient for Luton Airport

Posted 24-Apr-2016 on Hotels
We stayed overnight to ensure that we could catch our early plane to Iceland. Rooms were fine. Service was average (though we were disappointed to find that two rooms booked together were on different floors}. Directions from the staff to the airport were unclear. ("It's obvious!") The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the airport but it is not well signposted and Luton Airport itself is not well organised. We took a wrong turn and went across a car park next to the airfield, only to find that we had to scramble down a steep slope (mud path!) to the main road, having been misdirected by a "local lady" who we assumed knew where she was going!

Location: Expect to drive if you want to do anything but watch the planes landing.
Basic hotel and facilities right next to the airport, fine for a cheap one or two night stay. (But there was never any noise) Expensive breakfast for what it is. Extra for parking, but that seems typical.
