Close to airport

Old fashioned rooms, cosy and quiet. Good for plane connections. Short distance to airport around 10-15 minutes walking.

Good hotel on the Airport

Posted 29-Jan-2017
Pros: Room and staff very good.
This is a very good hotel on the airport complex. We still though had to pay a taxi 7.50 to take us to the top. Would be good if the hotel provided a courtesy bus. Meals and drinks a little expensive but we expected that.

Short pre-flight stay

Posted 29-Jan-2017
Stayed here before an early morning flight at Luton airport. Checking in was simple, staff were pleasant, room was clean and comfortable, and it was very good value. We parked in the mid term parking on site, and it was a little inconvenient to walk to the hotel as there isn't a proper pavement on one side of the road, but that's a failing on the airport's behalf, not Ibis.

It was okay.

Got there staff were very efficient but lacked friendliness. They didn't even tell us where our room was. We had to change rooms as I found old chewing gum stuck to the head board.

Not much sleep going on at the Ibis

Posted 24-Dec-2016
There appeared to be a prositute using the room above me. There was a repetitive pattern of door opening, murmuring, man urinating loudly, more murmuring, a lot of thrusting (each visitor had their own rhythm), possibly another urination, door closing, one person moving around the room, and then all too soon the door would open and the pattern would start again. About 1.30am maybe someone just wanted a cuddle as after just a few thrusts it all went quiet and there was just murmuring. The cycle continued with a noisier punter at 2am. I did not get much sleep. It all felt v sordid and dirty and so I slept in between my scarves and kept my socks on as I didn't know what might be on the carpet. Staff on the desk seemed perfectly pleasant on my way in and on my way out and gave me no reason to think it was something they had any knowledge of. I didn't feel comfortable in complaining there and then tho as who knows if I might have had some kind of confrontation with the perpetrator. Can't help but feel v sad for the person that earns their living in such a sordid desperate way.
