Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark

"All together it was great! The staff were all very kind and helpful. The general areas were very tidy. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower/toilet room was clean but it was in need of repair. There was evidence of previous water damage, and after using the shower i can see why. No matter what we did water ended up all over the floor, we traveled as a family and others in our party in other rooms had the same issue."

"Perfect location, walk everywhere! I was a little hesitant at first booking a budget hotel but so glad I did! Room was clean, AC was COLD, on first floor and it was relatively quiet. At check-in met Moe who was very friendly and accommodating. You can not beat this motel for the value and location. We had a king size room which was a little tight but fit our needs well. Lobby/office area had great hot coffee in the morning and granola bars for breakfast. Spent 5 days there and would definitely stay again if we were ever to go back to Lake George."

"Danny at the reception was amazing! He was so kind and helpful! He was always there to answer our questions and help us out! Rooms were adequate! Had everything we needed (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, ironing board, mini fridge, towels). The amenities were nice! The pool was fresh and the fire pit is opened nightly! There is always plenty of parking available. They even have a sister hotel across the street which gives you beach access, water activity access, a park, pool, volleyball, etc! Short walk to the main area! Was perfect location!"

"Check-in was pleasant. The room seemed very clean, even though the property is a little dated. The bed was comfortable. I left the AC off because it was a cool night. When I turned the heat on for a minute to warm up the room a bit, it emitted a burning smell, so I quickly shut it off and opened a window to improve the air quality. Shower water pressure was not the greatest. Adequate toiletries. The room was too near the ice machine and the elevators, which made a loud, melodic noise every time it arrived. Lots of very noisy little kids running in the hallways and a dog barking was a few times after 11 pm. I was glad I was not yet asleep. Didn't eat breakfast there because it was packed with people and things felt picked over even with 45 minutes left. I am sure it was hard to keep up with the crowd! They seemed to have some protein choices, which was nice, but I was in a hurry and the lines were long and no seats left at tables. They were running out of things. Out of creamers. No water for the tea, or milk for the tea /coffee near the end. I went to a nearby Starbucks instead rather than fight the crowd. I would stay there again because the price was reasonable and the room felt clean. I would definitely go down to breakfast earlier next time though!"
