I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay. As we had a lengthy discussion, I know this was because we do not take cash. We are very up front about this; it is on the website that you booked on, we send you an email with the information three days before check in, you signed the online registration card accepting that we do not take cash, there is a sign on the front door and it was explained to you at check in. I am not sure why, having been made aware of this in so many ways, it wasn't until after dinner that you chose to make your complaint.The team on duty were unable to deal with the matter to your satisfaction and so I came from home to speak to you. As explained to you at the time, the nearest branch of our bank which has not become 'cashless' is a 40-mile round trip. By the end of the month, when the branch in Dorchester closes, the quickest will be a 2 hour round trip, 74 miles. While I understand your frustration, directing your anger at businesses who have had the cash infrastructure removed from around them is misplaced. Perhaps you might like to write to your MP, or the banks who are closing more and more branches each year.
