"My friend and I had a girls weekend at the Trout Pond in late September and it was exactly what the doctor prescribed. We kayaked and paddleboarded, cooked at-home meals and ate on the dock, and generally just relaxed! This small cove has a nice view of Lake Wiley activity, and nice calm and safe waters to paddle around in. The large dock is perfect for lounging and parking large boats, and there is a small area from which kayaks etc can be put in as well. As a plus, we got a great workout going up and down the steps between the house and dock! The cottage was very clean and kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc, and water. The furniture (couch, easy chair, beds) was comfortable and we enjoyed the light and view from the large windows in the living room.We experienced a rare NC weekend with perfect weather but I imagine this would be a great place to jump in the lake for hot summer days, as there's also an outdoor shower. Also, the neighbor's dog was adorable, and check-in and check-out process was very easy."

"We spent almost a week here with our adult children and our dog. We LOVED it! It was like being at a good friend’s house - well stocked, casual, and not at all fussy. Lots of games and snacks, dishes and towels, all the things. My husband brought his bass boat and fished every day! He was able to tie it to the floating dock for easy access. River Hills is a beautiful community - friendly, safe. We will most certainly be back!"

"My first time at Sweetwater spent 9 days. Before arriving i anticipated a good stayand No surprises giving the fact that Georgia the host and I communicated several times leading up to my Travel. She is great and extremely responsive. The cabin although old enjoy its rustic charm and its location. Its well appointed , clean and functional has everything you need and more. Awesome location 18 miles to Uptown Charlotte for a nice night out yet Far enough removed and peaceful. Awesome lake views and just an all around great spot to enjoy. I plan to come back GeorgiaThank you Paul"

Everything else was great, truly great."

"We had such a wonderful stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our family. The floor plan was the perfect fit with our teenagers as well. The accommodations were perfect, and the beautiful views and inviting porches made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together.Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish, which made everything so easy. We also loved how convenient it was to rent a pontoon through the host. It was right outside off the dock waiting for us and easy to board and enjoyed the lake all afternoon. Kayaking in the evenings was one of my favorite parts of the trip! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
