Lovely view. Is a bit tired & could do with a bit of a cheer up. Definitely overpriced at $419 for my friend & I in a studio with 2 beds. Not a lot of room but the sun room was fab. Some empty concrete structures in the dining room should either be used as pools or have palms planted in them.

A falling apart and horribly understaffed hotel that was once nice. The building was in disrepair, but the staff was doing all the could with what little they had.

Okaish stay.
The room was nice but very dated. The bathrooms were very small n old. And the hotel smelled old. However, we had no problem otherwise. Staff were lovely. The photos look better than the actual hotel

Property was well siituated. Pool was out of action and looked like it would be for awhile. Dirty looking water with ducks swiming in it. Very disapointing we vould not use the pool.

Beautiful location & surroundings. Accommodation a bit tired around the edges but clean and tidy. Breakfast selection was impressive. Disappointed the main pool was closed for the duration of our 4 day stay due to issues. Would stay here again.

Look, this place was the height of luxury in 1996 and you can tell. But, the location is spectacular, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfy and everyone is nice. If you're expecting waterfall showers you'll be sad, but who needs that stuff when you can look at the ocean and be happy

All staff were very helpful and friendly (especially Dimitri who went above and beyond) except for one slim young Asian (Korean?) girl who was the opposite. Our room was metres from the beach with a lovely unobstructed view. We found the a la carte food in the restaurant disappointing but enjoyed the breakfast buffets.

We’ve stayed here many times and sadly this time was very disappointing. The staff and rooms were great but, at the height of summer, their big pool areas were completely brown/green with algae. We often stay here given the size of the pools but were confined to the beach chairs as the water was so gross that we couldn’t even see the bottom through the murk. We are pool owners ourselves and know the importance of dealing with algae as soon as it appears. The fact that this wasn’t addressed throughout a 3 night stay was very disappointing. It needed more than a robot and skim. Buffet was super good, staff friendly and doing their best. Sea-side views superb. Grounds excellent.

We stayed at Copthorne for 3 nights and had an enjoyable time although the property is very dated and could use a modern upgrade. The facilities are okay but we definitely expected more for a resort style hotel. I stayed here a couple of times 8 or so years ago and it felt like nothing had changed or been improved since then with things feeling a bit aged. Rooms are comfortable but again dated, specifically the bathrooms. We stayed in a ground floor Harbour view room which had a lovely view outside. The aircon vent units are right on the outside patio area so if your neighbours aircon is on that's all you can here, not very peaceful. The hotels general facilities are okay. Pool area is the best part of the hotel although the water didn't look very clear so we chose not to swim, lots of others were in the pool however. Great area to lounge in the sun with appropriate seating. The grounds were very well looked after with grass freshly mowed and all plants well trimmed. Restaurant food was great, nice selection of dishes. Average selection of wine, we did expect more option. It seems like this place has a lot of potential however just didn't give us the luxury/comfort style stay we were expecting from the pictures and having been here years before. Staff were all very friendly and relaxed which we enjoyed and couldn't fault any service.

Great location, awesome backyard with views and beach access. Parking was a bit of a mess (no allocated parking so you're left to wander around to find a spot which could be like 7 to 8 mins away from your room) and the parking space is too tight. We found hair tie and a bunch of hair in our toilet so wasn't happy with the cleanliness although the other areas were very clean. PS: they require a bond for each of your booking which I don't this is mentioned anywhere in their booking details.

Problems : 1) they offer a shuttle service, we needed it twice and both times no one answered the phone. 2) we requested an ocean view room, there was lots of vacancy but they wanted $40 more per night 3) because there were so few customers the buffet dinner was not available 4) breakfast was expensive $35 each, more than the a la carte rib eye dinner ! 5) the property is tired , needs renovation. But, the location on 5heocean is spectacular. Probably would not stay again

Great spot with beautiful locations nearby. Rooms were a little dated but it is a busy spot with lots of visitors. The resort itself is set up perfectly for larger groups and those that want to spend time outside and exploring the area. Really great location

Room was standard single Had the most comfortable bed I’ve slept away on, and I’m away lot for work , Sky was great when I worked out where it was but couldn’t work out remote to see what was on like you can with normal sky. Parking was the only let down, limited and poorly lined so people just take up 2 parks etc.

Enjoyed the pools. Didnt see a reception sign anywhere, little lost at first, but we found our way. Comfy bed, small space with everything in it, little hard to move around and even had a sunroom.

The head receptionist who greeted us was amazing and super hospitable! The guy who checked us out barely even looked up at us. Very different experiences! The rooms view was amazing and picturesque but the actual room was dated and no fan in the bathroom. The gardener was literally outside of our room on arrival and first thing in the morning. The pool area is well kept and a really relaxing space to unwind. Would have been ideal to have room service from the bar menu. Our dinner was enjoyable! I think if the customer service was maintained as well as upon our arrival, the whole experience would have been much better!

It's out of town, very hard to catch a cab into town, zero uber. It would be great as a conference centre for a corporate retreat or event, but as a tourist I would find a place in town

Same as usual. Trying to be better, but tripping itself up. No remote in room. No clear instruction how to use TV. No bottle opener in room. Passage way obstructured by workmen, outside room. No water/hotwater until 6pm, Meal in dining room was delicious
