When we got there no one was in office have to ring a bell and wait. Place is run down the pool side room was dirty and moldy everything is broken. Everything is old like the old school houses. Pool gate is broken and my 3 year old walked straight in pool was uncovered and out of order very unsafe. I requested a upgrade pretty fast there was 1 thank goodness was my bday and felt like it was just depressing. Paid only a fraction more for new room which wasn't to bad was definitely better than first room looks wise however lots was still broken. Door knob at bk fell off every time u closed it, toaster didn't work, certain hanger had no screws in one side, mold on blinds, burn mark in carpet list goes ons .. bbq was broken and rusty, swing chair in garden broken, spa dirty. Games room is ok but definitely needs a upgrade radio was secured down but didn't work so thats pointless. This place has so much potential but just is not maintained and would not go back or waste my money.

Found it very unhygienic, things not working properly and pests in the room. And there is hardly anyone at the service desk to assist. Extremely disappointed. But if you are booking late and just need to stop for a night, this can work.

It’s filthy motel, and has safety issues It needs exhaust fan in bathroom and toilet. Need cleaning and proper renovation. And not value worthy as per price. Half of the lights don’t even work.

Our Apartment was very dirty, some lights not working. When we booked, it said pool side Apartment but when we checked in it said pool closed . With that price it was not worth.

"seaview" not really... it is not in the main bay and does not really have the seaviews. The place is run down, only surface clean, the pool looked terrible. Would not recommend.

On arrival I waited inside the office as the door was open for 20 minutes before the receptionist arrived and was told I should of pushed a buzzer outside. He was rude and not helpful so I left and didn't end up staying there I have requested a refund

Good location, a little far to walk to beaches, but easy to drive to. However, the room and equipment are required to maintenance and updating. The ventilation in the room is very poor, there is no fan, and the room door will squeak.

The taps in the kitchen and bathroom where faulty and dripped the entire time, a light fitting was just hanging out of the ceiling and the wall behind the stove was badly stained yellow. These are very easily fixed with very basic maintenance.

Friendly staff, good size clean rooms however, the whole complex is very outdated and in need of renovation. The oven didn't work, the taps wouldn't turn off properly, the games room needed painting and the equipment needed replacing. The swimming pool was dirty and dangerous as the ladder to get in and out was broken and so we had to put a plastic garden chair in to be able to hoist ourselves out!

Nice place however rooms did not have enough PowerPoints, there’s no aircon so we relied on fans but had to place fan in corridor due to lack of PowerPoint availability. Light in one room was also very dim.

Unfortunately like a lot of motels this property could do with a huge makeover, The bathroom had mould on the skirting boards, there was a hole in the ceiling above the dining area and the couch had disgusting stains on it!. I had considered complaining to the staff but thought a bad review would get more attention. Sorry guys but you let us down and we wont be back nor will I recommend you to any person. Please spend some money on the property and do better!

Great location, convenient and pleasant manager but photos are not a true depiction of the premises unfortunately The pool was very green and unclean The ladder into the pool was broken The lawns were all un mown and garden furniture very untidy and tired Our unit was clean but the Venetian blinds had brown splatters of something all over them and the bathroom could have been a bit cleanet with pink mould and lino.pulling up Has potential to be a great little motel with a bit of elbow grease

Bad experience, poorly maintained property. Kitchen is badly equipped, the motel apartment was in a bad condition. 1. No kitchen tissues or even other tissue box 2. Beds are shaky 3. Couldn’t even lock the room, it was open when we checked in. We couldn’t go to the beach as we couldn’t lock the room. 4. Motel doesn’t even provide fresh milk for coffee. The only motel in the whole of NZ who didn’t provide fresh milk, but creamer - bad experience. I wouldn’t refer it to anyone.

This place so does not meet what the photos show on the web page. It is a very run down place. The hand basin was apart and broken, had mold around the taps. The oven needed a good bloody clean. The bed was hard to sleep on. The loo was not bloted to the floor that ot moved every time someone sat on it. Sofa ypu could feel the springs. The spa pool not working and the pool needed a good bloody clean. And a large family group had a party until early hours in the bloody morning

We have been going here for years. Because it's great for children. Games room, OUT OF ORDER SPA, pool and playground. However, when leaving and ready to compliment the manager, for another stay to add to the book of memories. I was told by the manager that a guest requested refund because of noise - From our children! This was very Suprising to me because, 1. we never received 1 noise complaint the entire night 2. Our children where asleep by 11pm. 3. There where people drinking in the bottom unit who's music went on to early hours of the morning (that we didn't complain about, because like us, they also deserve to enjoy there stay) However, after apologising to the manager (even though I didn't have to) he said it's too late for an apology!!! Therefore, Mr manager of aloha seaview motel, what's the games room, playground and pool for? The mosquitos?

Would not recommend this place at all. I would spend at least $50 more a better accommodation purely due to how bad this is. The grass and trees were not trimmed, the cladding of the structure was inconsistent and looks very Old and broken. The photos are super deceiving, the property for doesn't look like the photos. The pool appears to be dirty and I would not recommend using their facilities, it looks like no one has used it for years and the place have a smell. The sign about the spa needing a part looks to be super old, the colour on the sign has even faded so I presume this is a trap for people to book. Save your money and book somewhere else, this place is not worth ruining your trip

Property looked clean from a distance, closer look was old and dusty and overgrown. Was quite and safe, staff attended to us when asked. Our room had previous guests food in it and bathroom sink kept getting blocked we fixed it ourselves. Spa needed maintenance so unavailable. Pool was swimable, no shallow area for kids. Lots of fixing up to do.

Googled pet friendly motels and this was the first property to pop up also searched pet friendly on Expedia also first to pop up so booked back in September. Even wrote on on special requirements that we were bringing two small dogs. Turn up on the day to book in check in and start to unload and manager comes out we do not take dogs we changed our policy. After a bit of negotiation we agreed to pay a cleaning fee for the dogs and agreed to keep them off furniture and crated if not on lead. We booked two rooms dogs did not go into second room. Upon entering our room and looking around we found dead cockroaches in the cupboards, dirty fridge, windows with no latches on, table was marked from someone elses curry, the pool looked very dirty, tap in kitchen dripping, opened the wardrobe and it stunk musty, stove, utensils, glasses, plates not clean, shower dirty, 1 flannel between 3 of us. Mould in cupboards, damp ceilings and mould in rooms, dirty doors would never go again

The swimming pool needed a good clean. There was no step to get in an out of the pool. The sofa bed we had in our room was broken so had to exchange for another bed, which was uncomfortable. Play ground needs an up grade. staff were friendly and supportive.

This is one the worst places to stay in New Zealand when on holidays. The door had a hole in it. Carpet was damp and stinked. Window latches were broken. Carpet had weird stains,walls were dirty. Rooms were very cold with no AC.We had to leave for our own well being tye same night we checked in..and i still got sick. Until they renovate the entire place please stay away from this place.

The property location was great and the views were amazing. Games room was pretty cool. However when entering the rooms you could see it needs an upgrade. There wasn’t anywhere in the shower to put the soap. It was so cold at night and the oil heaters weren’t helping. The beds were very uncosy. The hot spa was So dirty we had to call reception to get it cleaned before we could use it. The wifi was terrible and they said they have no broadband. The pool was dirty and you could see the algae. Was closed So had unhappy kids.

The motel was okay, for one night… I wouldn’t really want to stay for any longer and I don’t understand how it can be listed as a four star motel? The reception guy was nice enough, and it was only a very short stay so it was doable for the night, but I wouldn’t stay again.
