Very clean with a good garden and wonderful views across Bath. The parking situation (a common problem in Bath) was not ideal with multiple vehicles, but no other complaints all. ##### Chris B. The property was well presented and is spacious. It is also very well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring Bath city and for using the train station to explore adjacent areas. Widcombe high street has a lovely range of shops and cafes/bars.In terms of niggling issues, we found that the spotlights in the kitchen turned themselves on and off, the kitchen clock is broken, the dishwasher does not clean properly (although I replenished the salt and rinse aid) and the bedroom blinds all had a selection of squashed bugs and flies in when we rolled them down. ##### Tessa C. Stayed 2 nights in Dec 2024 ### 8/10 Good #### Kim P. 11 Aug 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great property and location Comfortable beds, all the appliances and equipment you could need and a great location. Parking is a walk away, but it worked well. I would have given five stars, but the place is overdue a deep clean. Sinks, sanitary ware and surfaces were fine, but there were dust bunnies in the nooks and crannies, stains on floor rugs and a musty smell to the cushions. Outdoor area needed mowing. ##### Kim P. It is in a quiet location but within walking distance from the centre and some great canal walks. We had some problems with the showers at the property but the managers were great and did their best to sort it out. I would definitely stay again. ##### Marie K. The kids loved the staircase cubby hole; we loved the easy walk into town. The winter views were gorgeous. The only (minor) drawback is the parking well away from the property - all else was excellent, including the thoughtful welcome food package. ##### Joanna E. Stayed 2 nights in Dec 2021 ### 6/10 Okay #### Rachel R. 13 Dec 2021 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Beautiful but cold. This was a beautiful house in a great location. Had we stayed there in the summer it would have been perfect. Unfortunately, the house was freezing. Even with the heating at full blast we had to sit I. The living room wrapped up in our duvets. The log fire was on but the heat was sapped out. There were drafts through the windows and floor boards and the walls were like ice. Adding to that the showers did not work properly. The water was freezing cold or scalding with no in between. And the scalding water didn’t last long either. Having said all of the above, it was a lovely house and felt very homely in the evenings. Just bitterly cold. Like I said, had our stay taken place during the summer, it would have been perfect. ##### Rachel R. If you want to cook it's also well set up. The only thing I'd say is that it's quite compact so if you have young children be aware that you'll be able to hear everything! But our kids loved it - "the upside-down house" with bedrooms downstairs and living areas upstairs.. ##### Greg L. The views were impressive; there was a nice fenced in yard for the children; the kitchen was big enough for everyone, plus a few guests. In addition, Widcombe has some very nice restaurants and cafes - and Bath central is only a short walk away. ##### Renee C. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Janis S. 19 Jul 2018 #### Great experience in Bath Area We really enjoyed our 5 day stay here. Good location in the Village of Widcombe. Easy walk to all Bath attractions plus bonus of the charm of Widcombe itself. The house was comfortable and well stocked.
