The building has that to the manor born vibe, and the rooms were spacious and comfy, with the requisite furnishings.
The one glaring issue for me was the bathtub/shower. The unit stands high, so very typical of many European baths, and while there was a safety bar handle on the far wall to assist with getting into or up from the tub, there was not one on the wall where you would enter and exit the bathtub itself. This is such a major safety issue. It’s a no-brainer to address so am surprised that such an elite hotel would overlook something so basic.
Also, the hotel needs to up its eco-friendliness. Small plastic toiletries might seem luxurious but at this point it’s just irresponsible! They can provide name-brand bathroom amenities in a socially responsible way!
