Lovely luxury hotel just outside of Bath

Posted 15-Apr-2017
Pros: rustic feel and the new rooms and spa
Cons: 11pm curfew and we had a problem on last day having to wait a long time for our breakfast but all sorted on checking out!
Location: Bath city centre!
We visited for a second time, the first time being before the extension and the extension and spa really benefits the hotel. not too far from Bath city centre, 15 mins tops... 11pm curfew but still lovely hotel and time.

Lost Opportunity

Posted 05-Sep-2016 on Hotels
A potentially wonderful setting undermined by poor condition, lack of maintenance, an uncomfortable bed for all purposes, and strange layout. The restaurant is to be avoided at all costs. A dour setting at night matched by uninspired food that brought no enjoyment, with questionable food safety. Six weeks of travel with a wide variety of restaurants across several countries, and this restaurant was the only one to cause a stomach problem. Location of the hotel makes it challenging to reach Bath in peak hour traffic, but plan to do so for dinner. The spa area is small but nice if you can find a time without others around. However, it is not well maintained. Questionable cleanliness and no water or service was available at 5:30. The showers barely ran and only with cold water.

Bliss in bath

Posted 02-Sep-2016 on Hotels
We were located in a separate chalet like building with our own private garden. There was tones of space and privacy. We went into town for spa, theatre, shopping and nightlife. Had a great time at all the town features been there before to see the roman baths and the fashion museum. The hotel provided a great breakfast though within very limited times. Starting at 8 and finishing at 10 is a little restricting. Especially after a late night.all in all very happy! Even had a walk or two around the beautiful gardens!
