Newly refurbished room only criticism would be although the beds were new they were very hard

Lovely room but We had an high pitched, ear piercing alarm go off in our room at around 7pm which made us leave early to go out as unbearable, the air conditioning blew out hot hair so the room was roasting, the smell of paint fumes were very strong giving us all headaches and the shower leaked water all over the floor. We had no phone in our room either which made it didficult to communicate with reception, especially when alarm went off and the window looking out had no safety latch on in, luckily no children were with us. We found out that the room we were in 316, that section of hotel had only opened that day so really in our eyes there was still alot of faults and shouldnt of been signed off ready! On departure, the hotel said they would email us and give us a part refund but still havent heard anything!

Failing standards at The Hilton!
The hotel is undergoing a huge refurbishment programme which undoubtedly affected the standard of service and of the amenities (or lack of) available! The bar was so poorly stocked that after amending our order for the fourth time only to be told that none of the drinks were available we gave up! I am sure that standards will improve once the refurbishment is completed but as it stands at the moment this is definitely not a four star hotel!
