"Clean room, great check in but location felt unsafe. We were advised that vehicles are broke into there almost every night. We had to unload entire contents of car (which was packed full) and reload in the morning. Another frustration was that I lost an item, called the hotel 2 days later. They said they would look for it and call me back but I never received a call back. "

"The resort is older, there is obvious evidence of efforts to improve the cabins such as new flooring since our last visit. The only part that we were very disappointed in was the hot tub...it had brown foamy stuff floating in it."

"We were happy to have a clean place to stay but due to being very early in the season there was no restaurant as indicated, it was closed! Water took a very long time to warm up. The room was ready for us as stated. Key was where it was supposed to be. No chair to sit on inside or outside."

Althea was an excellent host, her communication was top notch and she answered all of our questions quickly and clearly.The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable, even during our winter visit when there was a ton of snow in the area. We were visiting family and also spent time skiing at Searchmont, which was only about a 25-minute drive away — super convenient.Overall, a fantastic place to stay with a wonderful host. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it."

"Amazing, relaxing, beautiful.This was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the Canadian summer with our two kids.From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming—super clean, with all the essentials provided (including firewood and pantry basics like coffee and sugar). The interior is cozy and minimal but had everything we needed, including very comfy beds that everyone slept well in!Some of our favourite features were the big windows that let in tons of natural light, a spacious pergola-covered patio for lounging by the water and a great BBQ setup. We loved being outside and really appreciated the peaceful surroundings.The host was great—responsive, helpful, and quick to answer any questions. We felt well taken care of from start to finish.Highly recommend this cottage for families, couples, or anyone looking to rest, recharge, and enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. We’d absolutely stay here again. I even managed to read two books—now that’s a good vacation."
