Excellent breakfast but no suites available

Standard room was clean & modern. Unfortunately no suites available at time of booking so the room was a little small for 4 of us. Very good variety of hot and cold breakfast made for a great start to the day. Will stay there again.

Excellent choice

Cons: Have a room sign or info when checking in that there are light blocking curtains tucked away within the layers because they are hidden well.
Location: We arrived late and left early so not much here but lots of take out food was close.
We had a great stay. Booked on Expedia without a hitch. Arrived and no issues. Staff told us all the important check-in info such as breakfast times, coffee station info, elevator location, parking. Very clean and quiet. Smelled good. Hooked up to Wifi no issues with instructions provided. The breakfast presented had excellent choices. Nice touch with the waffle station that my son loved. Food was very good. Loved the breakfast on the go paper baggy consisting of water, muffin, fruit which was well thought of we thought. Would definitely pick this chain next time.

Ski trip

Check in was very quick, bed was comfortable, free breakfast was adequate, pool and hot tub area was all ours. All in all a good experience and would return.

There was a bit of a mix up booking online, but the hotel helped me get it all straightened out and actually into a more suitable (upgraded) room for the same price. A great experience.

Nice hotel to stay for skiing in Barrie.

Nice facilities. Pool and hot tub are much needed after a day long skiing. Beds are very comfortable. Room is clean and spacious. We stayed at room 203. Fan is not working in the washroom. Sink beside the washroom was clogged. Breakfast did not have any meat product which is very disappointed. I want my kids to have some sausage etc. before another day long skiing. Reason to book Hampton inn is to have nice sleep and nice breakfast. This Hampton inn somehow is not as good as other Hampton inns we stayed. Over all, it is a nice hotel. But we would try others next time in Barrie.

Great Hotel in the Barrie Area

Pros: Breakfast included is a great perk, nice lounge for breakfast area, and they opened space when they needed to.
Location: Lots of choices of restaurants within a short drive. Hotel is not located right in the middle of Barrie, it is tucked away down a side street
This is our go-to hotel when saying in and around the Barrie Area. All of our stays have been pleasant experiences and the staff are most always helpful. Our last stay was over the holidays and even though they were understaffed you could tell they were trying their hardest to keep up with demand! Thanks for the great stay!

Overnight stop - Christmas Eve

Pros: Location was good for our purposes.

Location: This is not applicable as we were visiting family.
This hotel and its rooms are average...good enough but nothing special, a bit older and tired. The entire hotel was awakened at 1:35 a.m. by a persistent fire alarm. We all gathered in the lobby while three firetruck personnel determined that there was a malfunction in the circuit board causing the alarm. The next morning, I learned that the same thing had happened the night before as well. I find once to be tolerable but twice is inexcusable. Some sort of good will gesture by Hampton should have been offered to the badly disturbed guests. I will look for an alternate property next year.

The service was excellent ... we forgot wine glass and a wine opener without hesitation or being asked the front desk staff offered us both and had them delivered to our room. Check in was smooth as was the check out. Rooms are basic but clean, warm and well appointed. Overall It was a very pleasant stay and will book this hotel again when we come into Barrie for our next weekend trip.
