Room was lovely decorated abd really comfy. My only criticism would be that we were above the fans for the hotel and i could hear them turning all night.

We were only in for one night but it's right next to the motorway, food was ok , but dinning room was cold and very big and open. Very handy that there's a Toby carvery right next to it. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable stay
No fuss comfortable room, poor mobile phone signal but reception staff helpfully pointed out where the best reception was available! Free parking much appreciated

Cheap, simple, not the most comfortable of stays
Stayed for one night as we were meeting family. Discovered that any family members that came to the hotel would have to register their cars or risk a fine. Bed was very hard! Not the best sleep in a hotel. Breakfast at 10am considering it didn’t close till 11am there was very little available. No juice as this had run out and no one replaced. Hotel manager looked scared to death when anyone approached, we actively got the impression of “don’t speak to me” from the look and burning her head into her computer. Cheap hotel but don’t expect anything magnificent.

Check in was odd, it was quite noisy with people in the seating areas, and the staff were busy, once it was our turn to check in we were left standing in front of the desk as the staff carried on their conversation, we realised they were busy but it was just awkward, an acknowledgement of us would have taken a second. Room was clean, main bed was really comfy, quite room, not to hot like some hotels. Went for breakfast at 8am and it was total chaos. The few staff that were there were working so hard but they couldnt keep up. The coffee machine ran out of milk, the teabags had run out, no bread and as soon as the cooked breakfast was filled up it went as people grabbed what they could after waiting so long. Such a shame as the food was really good once we managed to get some.

Anniversary break
Just like to thank the staff for begin so understanding and accommodating to us all during our stay, as my husband was admitted to Barnsley General late Tuesday evening/early hours of Wednesday morning feeling very unwell. We should have been celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary with his dad.

Slow check in. Poor soundproofing, can constantly hear noises from upstairs. Given room directly above main entrance so disturbed by people coming & going, or just standing outside to chat & smoke. Pillows are very thin & poor quality. V bad night’s sleep overall. But it’s cheap & generally clean.

Noisy people sat outside of hotel until past midnight and then out again at quarter to 7. Room very hot with no air con. Only one pillow each. Sounded like Ibis had bought doors with the loudest slam. Lady who checked us in was very professional.
