This is an unusual property as it was a Dukes residence. However it was understaffed and the bathroom was dirty. The location was excellent but we would not stay there again

Mare Resort
The hotel is very clean and extremely well located. Unfortunately the terrace which has an incredible view of the harbor and is usually used for breakfast was closed due to renovation and we had to content with an inclosed room. During our first day the breakfast was incredible but now due to COVID 19 the buffet formula is gone. However it is still very good. I will recommend this hotel thanks to its location and cleanliness.

Despite the name it is most definitely a B&B and NOT a resort. No dinners in the winter time, and no gym or spa or swimming pool facilities. Staff were very courteous and attentive and it is very close to the harbour and lovely restaurants.

Excellent, fantastically quirky boutique hotel. Very clean, spacious room. Excellent location. Superb breakfast on their wonderful open rooftop dining area.. pretty special! Highly recommended!

Trani is a beautiful resort really worth visiting. The Mare Resort is situated on a nice sport & easy to reach everywhere. How ever up arriving no one was at the reception area & the door was locked. We had to wait for nearly 10 min before someone arrived & I think he is the only person working that evening for a resort that has 13 rooms. Room was nice but the breakfast was nothing to rate on & they’ve got the simple order wrong, maybe they don’t understand English well🤔 we’ve asked the reception to book an restaurent for us & to inform us but they never did & we drove there & found out they’ve closed for the season till 3/1/19, Also the staff ask to park our car over night at €20 but in fact you can park in the street without paying as there are no parking restriction or meter on the street. To conclude my opinion of this hotel is to train up & hire more staff.

The views of Trani harbor from our room were unique and outstanding. The staff is a pleasure to interact with- thoughtful and clearly extend themselves. Certain building items could use updating.

Great location and very helpful staff rooms were large and very clean. View from the roof top lounge was fantastic,we have been to Italy many times from top to bottom and I would rate Marè Resort and Trani one of the best we have been to. Thanks Again

Lovely hotel located in a grand Palazzo.
Lovely little seaside village with waterfront dining and old town. The Resort is very central with comfortable rooms and wonderful staff and breakfast on a roof deck

My stay
This hotel is perfectly located. It is right in front of the pleasure harbor where all the restaurants and stores are located. It is also 5 minutes away by foot from the cathedral. In the evening it is very lively and wonderful. By aware that the accès to the hotel by car is very difficult at first. The street in front of the hotel depending on the time of the day becomes a semi pedestrian street and the hotel charges 20€ per night. However you have parking available in a square really close for only €2 to €4 per night. The staff is extremely accommodating and will help you any time. The breakfast buffet is excellent located on the terrace of the hotel with a dream view of the harbor. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Excellent location in picturesque town
Hotel could not be any better positioned. The room is of the highest quality and the bed extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to avail of the rooftop terrace for longer than half an hour before the cold got to us. The hotel has chosen not to display any cold meats, cheeses etc for the same reason. I asked if they had any cheeses and was told yes but not shown any so said I'd have a poached egg on toast instead. My wife and I were a little surprised when a full large plate of mixed cheeses were brought out along with two boiled eggs sitting in a bowl. we returned the cheese plate and tried to explain that we hadn't intended that. I know this confusion was owing to our not speaking Italian and the limited understanding of my English by the extremely pleasant receptionist/ assistant. However I would say breakfast was a disappointment for me as I do not enjoy sweet cakes and pastries first thing in the morning and that was all that was on display. cereal was there also but the limited milk was warm (not cold).Not having the cold meats and cheeses on display anywhere leaves the guest relying on the personal choice of the types and quantity of each of the breakfast staff who may have limited understanding of requests in English Another hotel we stayed in got around this issue by having all the perishables and milk on display in a glass fronted fridge?

Good hotel close to harbour
Old building with lots of charm. Lovely views over Trani harbour and main piazza. Room was great but the hotel could have done with more staff, those that were there were good but there were not enough of them.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The rooms are fantastic and are very well equipped with free items in the mini bar which was much appreciated. What a disappointment breakfast turned out to be. No yogurts and had to ask for things - what was there was very limited.

Magnifique hôtel
L’hôtel n’est pas accessible en voiture car il est situé dans une zone ZTL. Le parking de l’hôtel est payant (25€) mais vous trouverez des places dans les rues alentours en zone bleue( payantes). L’hôtel a beaucoup de charme face à la Marina Très bien situé vers les restaurants. Bel hôtel.
