Great staff. Nice rooms. Free diffused ice water. Know that this hotel is on the Gallaudet campus, a deaf university. Has a shuttle to Union station. Plan your excursions on that time. The nearest metro stop is an easy 15 minute walk as an alternative

New owners changed the interior. I liked the old French design an open lobby. Also, the bistro was also closed for breakfast and lunch; one had to go to the main restaurant just for a coffee.

We stayed five nights for a family DC trip. The check-in was smooth and easy. Staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to have Amazon deliver a knee brace for my son. The location, being a 2-minute walk to Union Station, was a HUGE plus for us as my son couldn't walk as much as we planned. The only downside, which was nothing the hotel could control, is that the area is loud (especially if you're not from a big city). The hotel provided ear plugs. Amenities we enjoyed included: nice shampoo & conditioner, free espresso machines, and free bag-check. We'd stay here again.

From Soloman at the entrance to the exceptional front desk team that coordinated our pre and post checking special needs to the exceptional f&b team and lyles - in the restaurant and in room - always amazing - just a wonderful, easy boutique hotel in a residential area. The Lore Group is consistent in delivering a unique experience, that is sophisticated and understated.

"Hotel is next to food and everything. You trying to go to the aquarium, see the last ship from Pearl Harbor, ride the pirate ship, visit the Hard Rock Cafe it’s all there.
