Nice hotel. Would stay again if back in Barcelona

OUTSTANDING SERVICE

THE BEST SERVICE EVER!!! Posted 23 Apr 2017 The hotel is beautiful, recently renovated and nicely situated near restaurants and the Center of City. But to note, the hotel staff is what made this hotel beyond extraordinary!! From Issac at the front desk who walked us up to our room, pointing out relevant information, to the concierge, to the lobby bar and ALL the wait staff- you just can not get better in genuine customer service. Coming from a hospitality background myself, I am often disappointed at 5 star properties that can't stand behind their stars; at this property, the stars are the staff. Thanks for making a family holiday exactly what we needed:)

Great hotel near Camp Nou and metro

Nice to be away from it all

Pros: Relaxing . Parking. Welcome. Views.
Cons: Restaurant and pricing of food and drinks.
Location: nothing nearby.
Great hotel with gardens and pool. Expensive but worth it. Good views from some rooms higher up. Ideal for visiting family or for business. Not ideal for those new to the city just as tourists - it is a long taxi ride to everywhere and typically 30E return. Good parking. Wish it had a proper restaurant - only bar snack environment although snack and restaurant menus can be ordered in same place - I think they have more facilities in the summer.

Easter break

Air conditioning not working during entire stay. Reported but not fixed, when called again I was told the mechanic wasn't available due to Easter break. Room was extremely hot (27 deg) Second, booked a family room which had place to sit anywhere other than beds. Nice pool area but overall overpriced.

depends what you want

Pros: Parking. Lovely views over the Polo Club. Comfortable room. Most staff very pleasant.
Cons: Chairs uncomfortable. In April there is no restaurant - menu can be served in bar/lobby area - good food but small portions. Management Attitude
Location: isolated - nothing to do nearby
If you know Barcelona well than this is a quiet haven away from it all - perhaps then worth paying the very very high prices. If you want to see Barcelona then this hotel is badly situated at some distance from everything except the football stadium. A taxi to almost anywhere central will cost you at least 30 euros return. If you are driving then parking here is easier than in most Barcelona hotels.

Extremely attentive staff.

My son and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. Upon arrival their reception staff were fantastic. We were given a room on the 8th floor. When we entered the room we discovered it had one double bed. We informed reception. This scenario happened for a further two rooms. My son and I found this hilarious. The star could not apologise enough and up graded us to a refurbished room. The waiters we friendly and respectful.

Not what you expect from a 5 star hotel

when I entered the lobby I was amazed by the fancy lobby they have spacious cool looking one. Then I came to the check in desk the system was down they took my info manually . The were a little bit disappointing its not what you expect from Fairmont the furniture is old and not that impressive. The staff overall were very friendly and welcoming I had a chance to meet there Duty manager in the hotel he was very cooperative.the breakfast is good but also not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Finally I had a visit to there GYM one of the best fitness club I have ever visited in a hotel they had everything in it.personally I might not come here again I can find a better 5 star hotel with the same price.
