Newly renovated, but no sound insulation

Awful problems with noise and, sadly, the front line staff was not empowered to fix the problem. The hotel has an atrium design and the hotel rented out the restaurant in the atrium to a private party, complete with a DJ. While likely fun for the attendees, anyone trying to get some sleep in the hotel at 1 am was not so pleased. We were staying on the 10th floor and it felt like we were almost next to the party. While the front desk staff apologized, the party continued, we couldn't sleep, and we were not offered a complimentary night.
