The house lies in the centre of Tuscany, ideally positioned to visit all the most beautiful cities of this region. All are less than 100 kms from the property: Florence 32km, Siena 43km, Arezzo 73km, Lucca 90km, Pisa 93km. From the property in only 15 minutes driving you are on the speedway Siena-Florence. It's a very quiet location and there aren't other houses nearby so the guests have a lot of privacy. It has a large private garden (completely fenced) with a 13x5 meter pool (depth from 0,8 to 2,7 meter) with trampoline. Near the house there is a covered patio with barbecue, stone oven, tables and chairs to eat outdoor. It is also possible to eat in front of the pool and to enjoy at the same time of the panoramic view. In the village of San Donato in Poggio (5 kms from the property) there are a supermarket, 3 restaurants, a bar and a couple of other shops. Big supermarkt is available in Poggibonsi at 17 kms. The whole house is on the ground floor. There are 3 bedrooms, two with double bed and one with 2 single beds. Baby cot on request available. All the most common household appliances are available: dish washer, washing machine, two refrigerators, oven, TV with international channels, hairdryer. Broadband Wi-f internet connection available.

A delightful rustic rural retreat.
A delightful rural retreat with an excellent swimming pool that was well maintained. Mr and Mrs Martini were very helpful and supportive. The views down the valley from the pool were superb.........showing Tuscany at it's best. I do think it is an omission that there was no information about the access which is difficult as the accommodation is 800m from the road up a steep unmade road. The road is much better suited to a 4 wheel drive vehicle rather than an ordinary car. However we succeeded, with care, on all occasions to access the property without sustaining any damage to our hire car. The property is well positioned to access all areas of Tuscany between Firenze and Sienna.

Schöne Aussenanlage, Haus sehr voll
Wir waren an Pfingsten 2023 dort. Die Aussenanlage und der Pool sind sehr schön. Det Weg zum Haus ist etwas anspruchsvoll, haben aber einen SUV und daher kein grösseres Problem, etwas Bodenfreiheit ist aber definitiv zu empfehlen. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett. Das Haus ist sehr vollgestellt und die Schränke zum Teil unter Beschlag genommen und war daher zu fünft mit heranwachsenden Kindern etwas eng Wir hatten aber eine schöne Zeit dort. Vielen Dank an unsere Vermieter.

Sommerurlaub in der Toskana
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und entspannte Zeit in den Weinbergen südlich von Florenz. Der große Pool mit Sprungbrett war gut gepflegt, eine überdachte größere Sitzgelegenheit mit Pizzaofen und Grill lud zu einem gemütlichen Ambiente am Abend ein. Die Küche ist alles in allem gut eingerichtet, wer Wert auf große Weingläser legt, sollte diese selbst mitbringen, genauso wie extra Geschirrtücher. Eine Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine sind vorhanden. Es gibt zwei Kühlschränke und ein Gefrierfach, ist also auch für mehrtägige Einkäufe/Getränkekühlung geeignet. Die Eigentümer waren sehr freundlich und kamen Mitte unserer Woche für die Poolpflege vorbei. Ansonsten ist man sehr ungestört. Holz für den Pizzaofen und Kohle für den Grill haben wir uns im Brico (Baumarkt)ca. 20 min entfernt in Poggibonsi, direkt neben einem größeren Supermarkt(Supermercato Pam) besorgt. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist auch in San Donato in Poggio selbst vorhanden. Die Anreise sollte nicht mit einem untermotorisierten Kleinwagen erfolgen, sondern mit einem Kfz mit etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit, da der Anfahrtsweg (nur teilweise ausgebaut) auch Regenrinnen aufweist.

Perle in der Toskana mit Abstrichen
Highlight des Objekts sind sicherlich die absolute Alleinlage mit viel Gartenfläche, superschöne Ausblicke ins Chianti, der große Pool und die Ruhe!! Einfach traumhaft!! Für die Anfahrt braucht es idealerweise einen SUV!! Es geht 1km steil, steinig, kurvenreich und mit Schlaglöchern den Berg hoch. Wir kamen bei der Ankunft nur dank der Unterstützung des hilfreichen Vermieters (er spricht deutsch) und seinem freundlichen Angebot, einen Teil unseres Gepäcks in seinem Auto zu transportieren hoch!! Ohne Gepäck ging’s dann schon, ist aber wirklich nur was für mutige FahrerInnen! Das Haus ist urig und ziemlich voll mit Sachen der Vermieter, deren Familienferienhaus es auch ist. Das verleiht dem Ganzen einen besonderen Charme, schränkt die Möglichkeit eigene Dinge zu verstauen jedoch massiv ein. Das Inventar ist in die Jahre gekommen und wurde sichtlich genutzt- es ist aber von allem viel da!! Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und kommen regelmäßig vorbei, um den Pool zu reinigen, die Hunde zu füttern und den Garten zu wässern. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es leider nicht, weshalb die Nächte sehr heiß sein können. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen, viele Ausflüge gemacht (z.B. Siena, Florenz, Pisa...), den Mietpreis für das Objekt fanden wir alles in allem jedoch hoch.

Wer Ruhe such wird hier findig
Das Objekt befindet sich in einer Traumhaften Umgebung, der nächste Nachbar ist 3km entfernt, der Pool entspricht unserer Vorstellung, das Mobiliar und Bad weniger. Die Zufahrt erwies sich als schwierig, ein SUV wäre vorteilhaft, mit unserem Coupé war es abenteuerlich.

Maison ancienne, ambiance rustique, calme assuré
La maison est située au bout d'une route plutôt raide et assez sommaire, ce qui garanti un calme total et des ciels étoilés. Cependant, attendez-vous à un confort plutôt rustique dans une maison ancienne et très sombre (toutes petites fenêtres à l'ancienne). La salle de bain est vraiment très très très étroite et pas très pratique si vous avez des enfants en bas age à laver. La piscine est sympa et les propriétaires aussi. En résumé, cette location est à privilégier pour qui recherche le calme absolu à la belle saison et n'est pas trop regardant sur le confort intérieur!

good value for the money & nice owner
The owner was Meeting us at the day of Arrival. He was friendly and open, although he can't speak German/English. He showed us everything in and around the house. The property is beautifull! It's exactly what the pictures shows! The house is not big. It's just enough for 5-6 People (3 sleeping rooms). The kitchen is good equipped with everything you could need. Washing Maschine is also avaliable! Evrything was clean and well prepared (on the first view) The selfmade wine from the owner is very tasty, but it seems it depends on the year it was made (2014 was the best one!) :-) It was very cold in mid of May in tuskany, as we arrived at the house. So I asked for some Wood for the big oven in the living room. The owner was friendly and gave us burning Wood. (we had to pay it extra, but it wasn't expensive at all). It was very romantiv to sit together in the living room at night, drinking good redwine and looking into the fire. The house is not build for cold temperatures, so we were freezing a bit as it was unusualy cold in tuskany for May. I think you will be happy about it when you have +30° outside :-) To the negative Points: only 1 bathroom (we knew this before of course) we get only 2 Tabs for the dishcleaner and only 2-3 rolls of toilet paper (1 week) house smells burned Wood (due to the big oven in the living room) it's up to a hill, so it could be colder up there If you want to go to the next Supermarket/City with restaurants you have to drive 6km. The "street" to the hoouse is a steep and Long gravelroad. I can't Image to do it with a motorhome/Caravan. We had to be very carefull with our VW T4 campervan. Anyway, it was a good stay and we enjoyed the house and the wunderfull property! If you look for peace and an undisturbed place. this house is absolutly perfect for you
