Little gem of a place right in the heart of everything St Lawrence Gap has to offer…restaurants, nightlife and beaches. All rooms are steps away from the water. There is no beach or beach access, but you are in walking distance to a beach. Each unit has a kitchen that offers everything you need, or there is a lovely restaurant on site also. Great air conditioning in each unit and a wonderful hot shower. Well maintained, modern and clean units. We would stay here again. Great value for the money

Stay on the side facing the water. The side facing the street is super loud because there is kareoke until 3am nearly every night. Staff are friendly, but service at the restaurant is glacially slow. Food is ok, but overpriced as you would expect. No beach access from the hotel, but good views of the water and the pool is nice. Air conditioning in the room was a godsend because it the island is very humid. Not the greatest location if you needed cabs because cabs are so pricey. But if you are driving it is great.

This property was recently renovated. The furnishings are still in great condition and better yet kept very clean. The staff is personable and friendly.

I enjoyed the ocean view. The dining room food was good. The place across the street has karaoke so it can get noisy at times. We found the bed too hard. Everything else was fantastic.

Very nice hotel and workers . They attend to all needs . Only downside of the hotel was the floor . It was very dirty and if you stepped in it your feet would get very dirty in your own room . Other than that the hotel was fantastic and a very beautiful view !

I loved it. The staff were super nice & helpful. Rooms and amenities were clean. I loved how all the rooms are ocean view & the view is absolutely gorgeous. The location was great! I will definitely be back.

My stay at the South Gap Hotel was perfect. My ocean view room was extremely beneficial to my mental health. The hotel was in walking distance from multiple restaurants and entertainment options. 10/10 would recommend!

Good view but…
Amazing views and great location for socializing and night life.However, the positives were ruined by the loud noise and we couldn’t sleep. Karaoke music from opposite the hotel runs till at least 3am in the morning and the hotel does not provide ear plugs. Good location for nightlife lovers but we have been exploring the island during the day so the loud noise was not good. The view of the hotel couldn’t compensate my sleep quality…also bed linens were too thin and uncomfortable pillow. These could be improved.

As a “crash pad” for one night before boarding a cruise, we were super pleased with our accommodations. It’s a cute, small boutique hotel that sits right on the water. There is a charming little pool and pool deck area and breakfast was delicious. Lots of nighttime bars/restaurants on the street of the hotel.

South Gap is one of the few hotels that I've stayed where the ambiance surpassed what the guidebooks and picture testimonials had to say about it. I woke up to paradise every day! The staff were a pleasure to work with and gave great recommendations for venues and entertainment away from the strip!!! Highly recommended.

Located in a very busy area of Barbados it might not be appealing to people who prefer a quieter location. But the property is modern and has full kitchens. Service is pleasant but can be slow. Food is good. There is a mobile police station right outside the property so it feels very safe.

South Gap exceeded my exceptions! The room was clean, staff was extremely familiar. Our favorite staff was Nia. She was very accommodating and patient with our group. The food was good. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the burger but the wings and club sandwich was amazing. South Gap is definitely a place I will return to when I come back to Barbados. Oh I forgot to mention how accessible it is to food and lounges.

The location is great but service is slow. Rooms are clean but walls are thin…. So you can hear people/family next door. It would have been nice to accommodate late check out. Shouldn’t allow guests to save lounge chairs as the property is small and other guests would like to use loungers. Stricter policy is needed on sun loungers.

Okay, I have to admit…. I’m reluctantly writing this review, as I genuinely believe this hotel is one of Barbados BEST kept secrets and selfishly I’d love to keep it that way for when I return, as it is a hidden gem! 😁 Turning up at South Gap Barbados, I didn’t have many expectations of what to expect, but wow all I can say is that the hotel was one of the best I’ve ever stayed at, every room has an ocean view and you hear the relaxing sound of the ocean whenever you just open the patio door. The hotel was spotless. In a great location with everything outside, including bars and restaurants. The hotel was incredibly modern, however I have to say I think the staff are what genuinely makes this hotel so special. Every single interaction I had was positive and the team at South Gap made me feel incredibly welcome and couldn’t do enough for me! I cannot wait to return and already looking at flights. Thanks again for making my trip so special to the whole South Gap family.

Great place to stay, I would definitely recommend and stay here again. The rooms were small but updated and clean. Everyday we had issues with our toliet, but they did send someone to quickly, to fix it. The front desk was not very friendly. The friendliest one was the young lady who checked us in, but everyone else barely spoke or acknowledged us as we were coming in or leaving. The views from the room overlooking the ocean are gorgeous. Overall, it's a nice hotel in a walkable area filled with bars and restaurants. Another plus is Dover Beach is just a short walk from the hotel.
