Amazing Honeymoon Destination

Posted 17-Sep-2016
Pros: Beach, food, friendly people, clean, great atmosphere
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: It is located in Holetown on the West side of the island. It is a short taxi ride to Oistins for the Friday fish fry. Lots to do.
This was our first time to Barbados and we had the greatest time. Mango Bay was amazing. The food was great and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Fair Cottage penthouse suite, and it was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed for 7 nights and on the first night the manager sent up a bottle of champagne as a honeymoon gift. We will absolutely be coming back and recommending to our friends and family.

Overall a very good all inclusive hotel

Posted 17-Sep-2016
Pros: Very friendly staff, comfortable for the number of guests being catered for in September.
Cons: Evening entertainment. As with many hotels the policy of not saving sun beds is not adhered to.
Location: Some quality shops including duty free shops within walking distance. Number of water based activities available locally.
The only observation we have is regarding the evening entertainment which in our opinion was limited, very much the same each night. Food was of a good standard with a good selection of traditional dishes. The bar service and selection of drinks again was good. all staff were helpful and polite. The facilities ( bar, pool, areas and the beach facilities) were adequate for the numbers being catered for in September would it be as comfortable at the height of the holiday season?

Attentive Hotel but no Food for Foodies

Posted 24-Apr-2016 on Hotels
This was an all-girls (we are all foodies) birthday celebration get-together. Hotel was very nice and the staff (with the exception of some of the restaurant staff) were super pleasant and very attentive. Lovely bar area which was always busy. Attractive pool and nice location on the beach and also walking distance to Holetown, a large supermarket (Masseys) and a number of restaurants. This was an all-inclusive however the quality of lunch and dinner (which were often buffet-style) left much to be desired. The dining staff (on some days) had a hard time keeping track of their tables and customers and muddled up orders quite often. Luckily we were able to find good food and better service at the local restaurants just down the road. Hotel buffet breakfast was ok thanks to the cooks who provided good omelettes and other types of freshly cooked eggs. Evening entertainment by the pool was average.

Decent all-inclusive resort

Posted 14-Apr-2016
Pros: The staff are FABULOUS and super accommodating. The pool area is nice-our daughter had a great time playing in it and on the small beach area.
Cons: The food was very mediocre.
Location: Very good location-in the heart of Holetown, on a great beach.
Overall we had a pleasant experience. The staff is great, the location is excellent. The rooms are ok (a bit shabby, could be updated) and things kept breaking (the fan, the AC, the safe). Everything is expensive in Barbados so the cost was decent for the island, but was quite expensive. The food certainly caters to English tastes; indeed nearly 100% of the guests are British. A lot of fried, salty food. Could definitely have seen a few more real vegetables on the buffet table!

Upea lomakohde

Posted 22-Dec-2015 on Ebookers
Upea lomakohde rentoutumiseen, jossa varmasti riittää lämmintä. Henkilökunta mukavaa ja all inclusivella syömiset ja juomiset hoituivat vaivattomasti. Suosittelen!

Great all inclusive in centre of Holetown

Posted 14-Dec-2015
Pros: Location on the beach is great - its all inclusive, but the menu changes every day and is rarely a buffet - really nice choices cooked to order.
Cons: Not much really!
Location: Right in the centre of Holetown, which is the biggest town on the West Coast - so variety of walkable shops etc. Tip - get a hire car and drive around
I am a little bit biased by the fact we spent our anniversary at Mango Bay and they treated us wonderfully - everyone was really kind and helpful - the gifts and thoughtful touches in our room were really appreciated. On a practical level you are right on the beach, but can walk around Holetown easily.

A three star hotel

Posted 12-Dec-2015 on Hotels
Good food but terribly spicy. Good location. Friendly assistants. Not updated premises. Poor aspect of the building.Excellent water sports but not many sunshades or lounge chairs and not very clean mattresses either.
