Friendly informal hotel close to the beach

Posted 30-Sep-2016
This hotel is located on a lovely beach. The staff are so friendly and helpful it feels like you're one of the family. I've stayed here twice now and will definitely stay again. It's informal and comfortable. They also have delicious food which is better than I've had at more expensive hotels.

Pros: Right on the beach
Cons: Cleaning the pool more often. There were 4 children that had ear infections the weeks we were there and was told it came from the pool water.
Location: Oistons was the place to go on Friday nights. Food was great at Pat's.
My husband and I had a wonderful 2 weeks in Barbados. The staff were great in answering all our questions except the one I asked about not having a screen over the window in our room. We were justed told that all the windows on that side of the hotel did not have screens and they could not tell us the reason for not having them. With the Zika virus in this part of the world you would think that they would be more cautious. My husband was bitten twice by a mosquito because of this. We went prepared with a can of Off. All in all we had a great time..

Friendly staff; tasty food; beach accessible; No wifi in rooms, intermittent internet access in lobby; King size bed might mean two single beds joined together with a king size spread, no rugs on tiled floor in room.

Hi, thanks for feedback. Sorry about the free internet trouble, we are in the middle of a total refresh of the system. Hope to have it working in all rooms again soon! The no rugs is a conscious design choice, but will bear it in mind. All the best, Mark GM

Very Nice, Clean, Friendly and Convient Hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: The location and the staff were very good. Your first day they give you a welcome drink which I thought was a great way of saying welcome to Barbados
Cons: needed face clothes, bathroom essentials like lotions, shampoos etc in those little baskets.
Location: location great, so many activities to sign up for right downstairs in the activities room. When you come outside there is a De Roti Shop food next
This was my second time staying at the Butterfly Beach Hotel, the location is great bus stops are right outside the hotel just afew feet away. The reception are friendly and very hopful, the rest of the staff very friendly and polite. The food buffett style was delicious. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the one thing that was missing is face clothes and a clock radio there was just a clock. All and all I rate the hotel a 9 1/2 stars. I would recommend the hotel for first timers because of the location and Friday Night Fish Fry is just down the street.

Good buget hotel

Posted 01-Aug-2016
Good location, easy to get to the popular spots eg the Gap and Oistins. The beach is small and quiet though not as beautiful as the other beaches on the island. Rooms were fairly clean however the bed was not comfortable. The AC rattled loudly the first night and wasn't checked until the next day. Hotel restaurant had little vegetarian options which meant leaving every day for meals. Not a bad place for the price but can be better with some care.

hi Nina, sounds like you had a nice stay, with maintenance responding in the morning (unfortunately we don't offer 24 hour maintenance) and our location and beach being enjoyed. Our small restaurant cannot offer the vegetarian choice some bigger ones might but we are happy to take requests, and as you mentioned we are very easy to get around the island from. Hopefully next time we can earn 5 stars for the price! Best regards, Mark GM
