Nice hotel on the beach.

Posted 17-Nov-2015
Pros: Location, staff, facilities, restaurant. Room large.
Cons: Restaurant menu is somewhat limited.
Location: 20-30 minute walk to bars and restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap. People said not to walk alone at night but I did after midnight and felt very safe.
Found staff helpful. Room was clean though a bit noisy in the morning as I was right by the elevator. Restaurant on the beach with beautiful view. Facilities all seem to be good.

This hotel should be called a motel.

Posted 25-Sep-2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Close down
Location: Nothing to do but smell seaweed and hear traffic passing.
This hotel was the worst I have ever experienced the elevator was very slow. The location was on a busy main road which made sleeping very difficult yet it was not walking distance to anything of importance. The beach was disappointing as the hotel itself had no beach front and you had to use parts of the beach which had sargassum seaweed and rip tides. The hotel sends staff to your room during the day to do survey's of furniture and disturb you. I had no water one night and could not brush my teeth nor flush the toilet I called the front desk who sent someone to open every tap in my room to see if I was lying. They did nothing when I asked for a bottle water their only solution was to offer using a room two floors down to bathe and use toilet only but we would have to take the slow elevator back and forth. The pool is very small and by 7am all the loungers are filled with guest sun bathing all day. The breakfast is a joke same thing all week and very limited plus you are asked your room number constantly to embarrass you in case you did not pay for breakfast .Parking is also very limited and lot does not have any order with cars boxing you in. The hotel restaurant is very limited and expensive save your money and eat out. There are no activities to do at this hotel and guest are not able to interact with one another in a social setting. Towels are only changed three times per 7days and beach towels are gone by 9am, when maid takes towel you have none for the day until night.

Very good hotel for the price

Posted 10-Sep-2015
Pros: The price, the food, the personnel.
Cons: Make sure that certains customers respect other customers. Some shout quite a lot when in the jacusi.
Location: Very easy to go around with the buss just in front of the hotel
All the personal is accommodating. The place is very well kept compare to other hotels. Very interesting price. We have been there a few times and will surely go back.

Close to beach, good meals and leisure facilities

Posted 14-Aug-2015
Pros: location, price, breakfast, staff
Cons: smelly bedroom transparency on what is and is not complimentary
Location: Oistins (good on a Friday night for flying fish); local seaweed contaminated beach; local supermarkets; beautiful Carlisle Bay
Close proximity to beach, good breakfast, kitchenette in room, strange smell in room never fixed most likely due to flawed plumbing in toilet, mediocre evening entertainment, all staff friendly and professional. Enough chairs by pool, fair system of free pool towel and exchange for 2bd for a clean one. Aqua Zumba Fitness on Saturday morning was available. Very cheeky and unfair bottle of evian water placed in room which we assumed was complimentary but then was charged 10bd for upon check-out! Lack of transparency here Good location as close to main road with plenty of buses passing by. High level of building security for night time.

The Butterfly Beach Hotel

Posted 30-Jul-2015
Pros: The hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. There was a nice reception area with comfy seats, a pool and loungers.
Cons: The shower taps were not easy to adjust and control the water tempature.
Location: The hotel was situated near the small village of Ostins and St Lawrence Gap, where there were lots of restaurants and bars.
A lovely hotel in next to a small beach. My room was large, with a balcony and a small kitchen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Malahali who was most helpful and looked after me. The breakfast was good and the bar and restaurant overlooked the sea. The hotel was good value and convenient for the buses to Bridgetown and St Lawerence Gap.

Great Value and Courteous Staff

Posted 13-May-2015 on Hotels
Beautiful setting in the southern coast of the island. Our goal was to explore most of the island during our day trips, and the Butterfly Beach served as a perfect starting spot. Loved the pool area and it is the perfect place to unwind from a day of exploration. And let's not forget to mention breakfast--a great variety of tasty food.
