Nice cost effective Beach front hotel

Posted 02-Mar-2017
Friendly and helpful staff. They assisted me immediately when I asked to have a king sized mattress instead of the two single beds that were joined. Rooms and towels were cleaned and changed daily. Bus stop just outside the hotel and easy transportation throughout the island. Five minutes drive/bus ride from both Oistins and St Lawerence Gap. Ten minutes away from Bridgetown. You'll definitely need direct transportation when visiting the Harrison Caves as it's out of the way. I would recommend Oistins Fry Fish Friday, Caves, Tiami Cruise and the Boatyard. Food is a bit expensive. There's a Chinese Restaurant just across the road from the hotel and the food was exceptionally delicious. Also ate at a cozy cafe (Indigo Cafe) opposite Limegrove Mall, food was tasty and great service.

Great hotel on lovely beach

Excellent hotel providing basic room kitchen and also good restaurant which we used several times. Frequent cheap bus/taxi close by for trips. Friendly staff and very adequate rooms. Very good value for money all round.

We loved this hotel! Great staff, clean rooms, lovely beach. We can't wait to go back! Will definitely book there again. So convenient to get to many sights..Oistins, Miami Beach, St. Lawrence Gap, Massy Supermarket, all within walking distance.

Nice bar on beach. No shampoo. No washcloths. No public PC with printer. Very good free wi-fi. On busy street with some street noise. Food only fair.

Pros: The staff and location to the rest of the island.
Cons: No regrets.
Location: The fish fry in Oistins is a must to go to, about a ten minute walk from hotel.
The butterfly beach hotel is an absolute jem. We enjoyed not only the facilities which the hotel had to offer but the staff was amazing. The outdoor resterant looking out over the ocean was a must to be at every morning for breakfast and coffee. The view is spectacular with waves crashing onto the perfect white sandy beaches. There is no pretension at this hotel as my wife and I found, with everyone enjoying their stay as much as we had. The rooms, although not being 5 plus star, were more than cozy enough and were cleaned daily by an incredible staff.our recommendation of Barbados and this jewel of a hotel is that everyone must go and see for themselves the beauty it has to offer.

Barbados first time

The hotel was better than I expected. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was just okay. Not many choices for people who do not eat pork or beef. I would stay here again however I would not want to stay on the ground floor again. There was a gigantic cockroach crawling around. Of course we killed it but made things going forward uncomfortable. Had to zippen all my bags and place everything on the counters and desk.

May be I'm too picky

Posted 13-Dec-2016
Pros: Location was convenient and live music at restaurant was nice.
I guess it wasn't too bad for the money but next time I'd rather get a guesthouse room for third of that price and use the difference to make it much better experience. I was travelling with only carry on luggage so I couldn't bring any liquids like shampoo or shower gel and I was hoping that at $182 US/night there would be something to use when I arrive. Surprisingly there was nothing beside some hard soap-looking bar called "deodorant". Security safe was locked and when I reported that to receptionist I was assured it would be taken care of in the morning. So I decided to carry my passport and other valuables on me. I had to leave early next morning and it was before restaurant would be open for breakfast so I asked waitress if they could make me some sandwiches for morning. I was surprised that they suggested to talk to their supervisor. But after having my dinner I decided not to take chances with breakfast from that restaurant. I ordered local style flying-fish dish but with that spicy sauce it wouldn't make any difference if it was flying-fish or rat guts.

Nice hotel needs a bit of upgrading

Posted 02-Dec-2016
Pros: Staff is great. Proximity to the beach. Fridge and stove is nice. Price is good
Cons: Flatscreen tv needed.
Beds are pretty uncomfortable. Mattress needs to be changed for a comfortable sleep. I did not enjoy the bed at all.
