Very lovely helpful people work here! Our room was large, airy and well equipped. Quiet even though it faced the road. Nce beach and pool. No music blaring, just the sound of the surf at dinner.

This hotel is beautiful! We were greeted with a fresh juice beverage. The rooms are spotless and roomy. We enjoyed the breakfast and hanging by the pool.

I have to give 10 stars to the cleaning lady who cleaned our room every day. the person who checked us in, a person in the restaurant who was always nice when we asked for ice a couple times and the lady from the souvenir store (Apologies that I do not recall the names) other than that not a very good hotel either other employees were not friendly. Beach access not very safe and pool area need desperately an update. Jacuzzi’s only working one at the time. Tips if you are staying and other.. 1. Bring your own beach towel . They charge for every time you get a new beach towel. I guess you will be going to the pool and beach every day ? Well if you are staying 10 days like us better to buy your own towel then and you get also a beautiful souvenir from the island 2. If you need plastic bags for some reason.. on our case need it for sandwiches to take to the beach. People at the restaurant will give you ONLY one . I quote " you are not allow to get more than one" 3. Get a room with island view instead .. the noise coming in (very early on weekdays) from the road, specially public transportation could be very annoying… 4. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom sometimes. There is not enough ventilation in it so maybe that’s what it is? Will definitely stay somewhere else or even rent a villa could be much better than butterfly hotel. Other than that Thanks again for the ladies who made feel our stay better!

We are happy to know that quite a few of our team members made you feel welcome and comfortable but we would like this to be all so will definately be chatting with the team. Sorry if you were disappointed with our Green policies one of which is to encourage guests to keep their beach towels. We discourage the use of plastic bags just like the supermarket who actually charge if you do need one, so glad that we were able to assist you in a small way. I will have maintenance look into the bathroom report but pity we did not have an opportunity to look into this during your stay as our hardworking maintenance team is at the ready to assist should the need arise. Sorry we did not tick all your boxes but should you change your mind , we look forward to welcoming you back and if not thank you for choosing Barbados for your return stay.

The artwork in the lobby was nice and the room was large and spacious. The sofa bed however had a valley in the middle as it was old. That meant you could not sleep on it as it was hurting your back. The sofa itself also needed cleaning as it had a dark soiled mark going all around it. I met one friendly staff member and that was the young lady that brought us the welcome drink. She greeted us with a smile. None of the other staff members ever smiled. When I asked the female at front desk a question she responded in a manner as if I was bothering her, even though she was doing nothing. The male was very serious and hardly said a word. You knew you were not welcomed The worst was at the bar. First you were ignored by the four females working there. When finally one decided to answer my question she seemed so cold in her response. This was the worst experience that I have had staying at any hotel and I stay at hotels all over the world. I certainly would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Winter in Barbados
Hotel is a 3 star . Requires upgrades as it is tired looking.. but it is on the Beach. I would recommend overhead Fans while dining and new furniture and paint all around. The staff are pleasant and they try to assist.

The rooms are “adequate”, service at the only food/drink location very slow, food inedible, zero beach staff which is nice in the respect you’re not hounded for drinks and not nice when you must carry your own chaise to AND FROM the beach. Chaises on the decks are held INDEFINITELY by early morning towel droppers. Never a seat on deck.

Beach location jacuzzi and pool area were great! Bar/Restaurant view was also fantastic. Food was pub style ok. The ambiance on the deck there could have been improved with some light rythmn music (to break up the bar clatter and mixer grind, but still retain the slapping of rhe waves sound experience.) Just stayed the one night pre-cruise and it rates a 5 star for that usage.

For a moderately priced hotel, it’s one of the best. Close to airport, Clean, comfortable, restaurant on premises and great beach. Walking distance to Oistins/The Gap. The best part are the employees, they do a wonderful job making you feel at home. A sincere Thank you everyone at Butterfly Beach for making our trip an enjoyable one as always. Can’t wait to return!

Enjoyed my stay there. Good staff and room size. The kitchen area of the room was a nice touch. I was able to prepare my breakfast if I felt like it. The only real issue is that it's close to a main road so if you don't like the sound of cars passing it might be an issue. For me it was no issue and my stay was enjoyable.

The hotel needs to install ceiling fans in the bar and dining areas. There were so many flies which fans would have helped to keep the number of flies down. This was particularly an issue with the buffet breakfast area. Staff were friendly but I have stayed in other hotels on the Island where staff were more pro-active and professional.

I love everything thing about my stay from the warm and friendly greetings upon arrival until departure. The only thing I did not like is The Reef restaurant the staff need to be retrained they were not friendly or helpful and the food was ok not great which made us eat out every day
