With provided notice we can even bait the traps and set them out prior to your arrival so they can start catching dinner. Each rental will have 5 lbs of jumbo shrimp caught by neighboring fishermen (contact me at booking to reserve). No better way to start off livin’ the Bayou Life than with fresh local jumbo shrimp for dinner. We strive to provide everything you will need to make your stay wonderful. Home is completely equipped with BBQ, smoker, fire pit, and patio furniture for a relaxing and enjoyable Bayou Life experience. Kitchen is completely stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, and gadgets you could want as well as an extensive amount of spices, condiments, salad dressings, and much more so you don't have to waste time and money at the grocery store. Even has a boiling pot setup for a traditional Louisiana seafood boil. And if that wasn't enough there are kayaks, a paddle board, crab traps, and fishing poles for your use. We also just added a commercial ice machine for FREE ICE! If you choose to hit Bourbon Street and do a little partying don't worry about driving....No problem getting to and from the New Orleans French Quarter....I have several Uber drivers on call and ready to take you to and from the New Orleans French Quarter or anywhere in New Orleans at any time of the day or night. Boat may be kept during your stay in the water tied to the dock. Dock is equipped with ropes, cleats, and bumpers. There is plenty of parking available with additional space if needed on an adjacent lot. You have room to keep several cars and boats on trailers in this area. The property has three rental units. Each are completely independent and on separate floors. The only shared areas are the outside docks, decks, and patios....there are several docks, decks, and patios providing plenty of room. Jan’s local restaurant cooked up some of our fresh fish and did an amazing job. We also wanted to stay at a location outside of New Orleans and experience bayou living and viewing the activity on the waterway. This property served all our interest. Comfy beds, clean, maybe could use some more kitchen tools, plenty of dishes. We really enjoyed being close enough and far enough from New Orleans. Easy trip to New Orleans. We caught fish and grilled them right there. Great escape from a the Midwest. It was nice and warm. The nicest people live in barataria! If you attract mosquitos like I do BRING BUG SPRAY. Beautiful unit- plenty of room for our family. Right on the water where our charters picked us up straight from the dock. All the amenities you need to boil crabs, have a fish fry and grill out. Beds were very comfortable, A/C worked great! Small grocery store and dollar general just minutes away had all we needed. Owner was very informative and communicated well. We were able to drive in on a couple days, experience New Orleans and enjoy the rest of our time without all the Hustle and Bustle. It was great waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the water and watching the sunset on the other side of the house over the bayou. We really enjoyed the fishing charter that we booked at the last minute with Big Dog Charters just a few docks down. Thank you Morgan for connecting use! From the initial contact throughout our stay, the trip was flawless.. owner communicates at a high level and no grey areas for question. Property was Clean as a pin, kitchen was super well stocked with a variety of pots, pans, blenders, choppers, cutting boards, coffee maker, etc. hospitality is often times a lost art, and is such an important part of the overall travel experience. On arrival we were super impressed with the layout of bedrooms, bathrooms, multiple smart TV’s with full cable packages, Wet Bar with appropriate glass wear etc…. property is located right on the canal with a beautiful balcony just off the kitchen, and access to a private dock with accessible fishing and boat access!
