Hotel OK, location not great

Posted 06-Jul-2016
We chose this hotel as we were on our way to Canterbury from the west side of London. Town of Sittingbourne quite industrial and the location of the hotel does not lend itself to walking about. Restaurant very costly so had to get in the car again to find an alternate dining facility.

Enjoyed my Stay

Posted 04-Jan-2016
Pros: Pool and Spa
Cons: Hotel bed was uncomfortable could do with changing
Location: Really nice Thai restaurant in Sittingbourne. Canterbury nice place to visit.
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The Spa and Pool facilities were really good. The food was expensive in the main restaurant and we could not eat in the The Brasserie restaurant on a Saturday evening as it is closed, which was disappointing. Because of this we ate out. Really nice Thai restaurant in Sittingbourne. Breakfast was really good and the staff looked after you. The room was really nice, but the bed was uncomfortable which was a shame. I would however recommend the hotel to anyone who would like to chill out and relax on a weekend.

Great short break

Posted 10-Nov-2015
Pros: The spa and the friendly and attentive staff.
Location: Great location for visiting Kent by car, not so great for walking in the local area.
We booked this hotel for a weekend break to unwind. The weather was not great so we made good use of the excellent spa facilities. Food in the restaurant was delicious, with great service from the pleasantly cheerful staff. In fact the cheerful, friendly staff throughout the hotel made the stay that little bit nicer. We were disappointed that the area around the hotel was not quite what we'd expected - it's on the edge of a "built-up" area, while the nearby lanes were treacherous with fast moving cars and no pavements (a little scary for a stroll). The main reason for staying, however, was for the chance to do as little as possible, relax and unwind and we managed this very well. Would definitely recommend.

Hyggeligt landhotel

Posted 21-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Det er et meget traditionelt ældre hotel, der er opgraderet med stor personlig service og flotte omgivelser. De forskellige opholdsrum er utrolig hyggelige i gammel engelsk stil.
