It’s a good option if you want to be in the middle of it all in Old Town, don’t want to pay too much and don’t mind that it’s a bit run down. I found the room to be grubby and the bed rock hard. Wouldn’t want to spend more than a night or two here but it is convenient. Also there is a pool on the roof. We didn’t try it but I’m sure it’s a plus for lots of people as Bangkok is HOT.

Great location. A couple roads behind Khao San Rd and surprisingly quiet. Nice roof top terrace and pool. Air conditioner worked well to cool but very noisy. I like a firm bed that the beds were hard.

Dewan is a basic but excellent choice of hotel if you want to stay within five minutes of Khaosan Rd but you don’t want to deal with the noise. Don’t expect five star luxury, but expect prompt help when you need it and very friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless clean. The rooftop pool and terrace are fantastic for enjoying a swim and a drink as the sun goes down over Bangkok. There is a massage shop at ground level, a 7-11 across the road, and an authentic little restaurant nextdoor to the 7-11, so all very convenient. Highly recommended.

Stay in Bangkok
If you want to stay in the old area of Bangkok close to the Grand Palace and some street markets and bars , the location is great. The beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. The noise though from the street is very strong ,,also there was another loud humming sound, we assumed it was from the air-conditoning in another too. Apart from the street noise we happily stay again.

The Dewan Bangkok is a unique boutique hotel with charming touches and wonderful staff. The staff anticipate your needs without being intrusive. We felt safe and well taken care of. Here, you are a short ride away from major sites, close to many restaurants (including a couple of excellent vegan restaurants) and one can enjoy Khaosan Road without being in the midst of the cacophny.

we stay here when we visit bangkok, hotel is a bit old and outdated but always has good service and ia always clean. good bed, pillows, water pressure and lots of hot water for showering.

This is a lovely boutique hotel close to the bars of Khao San Road and the restaurants on Soi Rambuttri, but just slightly removed so it's quiet and peaceful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff are helpful. There is a nice pool and lounging area on the roof. Definitely the best place I've stayed in the Khao San neighbourhood and now my default place to stay in Bangkok. Great place.

Great location
Great hotel in a fantastic location. Was able to talk to Grand Palace (about 25mins) and lots of food options close by. My room was at the front of the hotel so along the Main Street plus being so close to Khao San road meant it was noise but nothing some ear plugs don’t solve. Lovely roof top area and pool. Massage place down stairs amazing and lovely friendly staff.

Not as quite as I hoped
When booking the hotel I knew it was close to the busy street, what I did not know is that the music and noise from the side streets propagates to the room windows. Add to that some noisy neighbours slamming the door at 4am and speaking in the corridor and you have a stay without much sleep. I'm a deep sleeper but the noise was even too much for me (especially from other guests) and I had to call reception several times. Would not stay at this hotel again.

Great location just a few blocks from Khaosan Road, plenty of restaurants and shopping. We could still hear the music at night but it was minimal. Roof top pool and lounge area was fantastic. Our was massive compared to some others we have had in Asia. Front desk staff were super helpful came to the room to help us reprogram the tv. Also allowed us to use a computer as I was having issues with airline boarding passes. Wake up call was executed perfectly. Would highly recommend a stay here.

The room was spacious and staff did an excellent job of keeping it clean. Front desk staff were super friendly. The area was great, easy walk to the Royal Palace, Golden Mount and the river to take the ferry. Lots of shops around; a vibrant area yet there was no street noise impacting a good sleep.

No minibar and noisy - but they tried hard
Positive, very close to Khosan road. Negative, very close to Khosan road. It can be very noisy at night but the pool was great and enjoyed the terrace - really nice outdoor space. Very convenient and walkable to the museums and palace. Just consider when booking - it said we got a free minibar which they said they haven't done that since 2016. However because we complained they did go out of their way to get us beer, coke and small snacks that would have been like a minibar. So can't fault their service.

Everyone at reception was very friendly and helpful. They happily checked us in after a late flight into bangkok. We felt very safe at the hotel. The room was surprisingly big and spacious. It was very clean. Close to khosan road but no noise from it at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place, great location
The rooms are clean, stocked with supplies. The rooftop and pool are a nice area to see the city and relax. The staff are friendly. It is two streets from Khao San Road and close to other major attractions. Suggestions would be to have face cloths, better shampoo in the dispenser. The fridge power is cut off when you remove the card key which should be left on for a couple of reasons (while people are staying in a room)-it is very difficult on a fridge to be cut off mid-cycle, it takes more power to re-cool a fridge than to leave it running, your drinks never get a chance to cool down as you should be out of the room most of the time. If you purchase breakfast for the convenience, it is mainly the same every day, there are enough restaurants around that you don't need to do this if you don't want. I found the bed hard but that was everywhere. I would definitely go back to this location again.

Everything was beyond amazing at Dewan. The location was perfect and quiet for how busy it is over there. The receptionists were beyond sweet. Rooms were clean and decorated nicely! We will be staying here every time we are in Thailand.

Great location. Super helpful staff. Refreshing pool and large sitting area on rooftop. Lot of marks on walls in room but comfy bed and plenty of space. Complimentary (dry) minibar a nice bonus.

What a great location! Just off of Khaosan, but quiet enough to sleep peacefully at night. The staff was amazing, friendly, and spoke great English. My husband and I would stay again and again. The rooftop was one of the best features, but it closes at 830
