Hotel is set on a stunning beach. Property is older and probably needs a renovation. A big fault in the hotel is it's food, which is not great for breakfast. Service is solid. But compared to other hotels such as the Sala Samui or six senses it falls short.

We stayed at Koh Samui Resort for a single night following arrival in Thailand, as we were traveling to Koh Tao the next day. We booked this hotel merely as a "one night filler".
Could have easily stayed a lot longer. The staff were very friendly, and hotel room was very, very clean.
Location is absolutely spot on, and the beach is dreamy.
Whilst not a five-star resort, I can absolutely recommend it!

Koh Samui Resort is really all you could ask for in a tropical island hide-away, yet with easy access to both the Nathon …More
Quiet oasis in green jungle, across the road from nice beach, restaurants and stores. This part of Koh Samui is more on quiet side, not like east side of the island, but exactly what we were looking for. We rented a moped for 2 nights and went to see the falls and night market at Nathon pier and Fisherman's village - a must see! My husband bought a boat tour to Marine Park with kayaking and snorkeling - beautiful caves, white sand and magnificent views of all area. I just broke my foot, so I went for minivan tour around the island which stopped at all major attractions and included elephant trekking, fish spa and elephant and monkey show. Many people already commented on it and I just echo their sentiment when I say - don't go for this. The animals looked tired and overworked and when I talked to one of the tour guides he confirmed it. He said if tourists wouldn't ask for it, they would not train and hurt the elephants....
The staff are lovely here and can accomodate to your needs easily! They organised to drive us to places via a free shuttle or paid transfer, massages were excellent and greatly priced unlike most resorts. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but the room was always clean and no problem with facilities.
Stayed with my boyfriend and another couple with was great for us with our own spa!
Limited urban sprawl helps to maintain the peaceful beachfront setting of Bang Po, located on Koh Samui's northwestern coast. Popular with high-profile visitors seeking solitude, Bang Po has upscale boutiques and exclusive resorts as well as quaint private villas for those on a limited budget. Coconut palms shade the shallow blue waters and sandy shores of Bang Po's tranquil island paradise.
